During my recent trip to Turkey, I had the honour of meeting prominent lawyer and human rights activist Eren Keskin, who has faced repeated and well-documented harassment because of her work.

Meeting with and supporting the freedom of human rights defenders should be a key priority for the Canadian government and for Canadian legislators.
