Happy New Year from foggy Seattle!
From all of us at Steam, we hope you were able to close out the year on a high note - and here's to a great start to 2026!
@Furai_sen You could use the speed paint function of ClipStudio directly instead of a screen capture, it won’t show the flipped view canvas (unless you flip the actual layers with the transform tool )
This isn’t true for games.
This is true for animation and comics. Where they control the perspective of the viewer.
Games allows the player to control the camera, reducing our control over character framing and reducing reliance on the silhouette alone.
If you’re a character designer for 3D games don’t feel like you have to be limited this way. Focus on legibility and designs that give players feedback. That make them feel immersed in the player movement.
Silhouette is a part of it, but your character isn’t a failure if it can’t be recognised this way.
