Oracle was caught up in a lawsuit this week after it was revealed that it had developed a graph database with more than five billion people in it. To put that into perspective, if you're reading this, you're likely in that database.

@Nautsugu@Ehopepeace1@PreetBharara He should never have had these in the first place, not as physical copies. Typically, these would have been couriered over by an agent, who would give them to the president for review while remaining present, then would have left with the copies.
@Nautsugu@Ehopepeace1@PreetBharara Actually, we have a surprisingly good idea about what those documents were, given that many were highly sensitive and classified. They included information related to nuclear weapons and intelligence personnel.
@elonmusk Lyapunov curves + global peak oil (c. 2015) + envir. degradation = pop. decline. Tech is not solution, Jevon's paradox kicks in. Current economic theory based on pop. growth, increasingly outdated.
@elonmusk The two are likely correlated. Even in high birth rate regions (Mexico City, Lagos, etc.), 2nd deriv has turned negative. We'll see 9B by 2075, but that will be peak global pop, maybe hit current again (7.5B) by 2125.
@RepLizCheney I am a centrist Democrat. I do not agree with all of your positions, but you remind me a lot of John McCain - a man who was both a maverick and one of the most principled men I've known. Become an Independent, and caucus with the Democrats. The GOP that you know is imploding.
@mathling Then, of course, the plural of mouse is mice, the plural of louse is lice, but the plural of house is houses, not hice. Don't get me started about the plural of moose. I'm surprised that designers of stem algorithms for search engines aren't all mad as hatters.
@HH29684850@PackyNorthBest @GovInslee Actually, Trump caused it. It's a lot like arson - the arsonist starts the fire. By the time the fire trucks gets there, it's become a conflagration. Biden's the fire dept - he no more caused inflation than you did, but Trump certainly set the flames going.
