@BurtonMontanan@AdamSchefter There’s no reason a player should put an organization on hold for this long either. “Give us an answer so we can move on if we need to” in NFL legal-speak.
@AdamSchefter I’d be surprised if they moved AK. He’s the kind of guy that organizations eat some dead money on to send off the right way into retirement. Even though he isn’t quite what he was 5 years ago, he can still produce for them in a committee with ETN for a season.
@greencode12@AdamSchefter Oooorrrr they didn’t want to pay him top CB money given their cap situation, and chose to offload him for a decent return to help build out their roster with lower salaries for the next few years.
@HeyImAJ@AaronJFentress@Shemars_shooter Not true. Every year QBs with minimal starts in college make the jump to the NFL too early. See Trey Lance & Anthony Richardson. With NIL being a thing now, makes more sense to take your time until you’re ready.
@AdamSchefter I’ll take the gig next. 1 year of work, then 2+ years of paid vacation. That’s the dream right there.
I have no formal resume, but I have managed plenty of fantasy teams to championship runs. That’s leadership.
@TheLostieLost@AdamSchefter Wouldn’t “income” make more sense here than “profit”? Given profit is the margin retained from income minus expenses. If you had record breaking profit, expenses are already factored into the equation, which means they weren’t ignored.
@WhoDatLuchador@AdamSchefter@krisrhim1 So if you were to be renovating your home yourself, or doing yard work, and you happened to hurt yourself doing so, you would be okay with your employer fining or even firing you if you couldn’t do your job, or were handicapped for a period of time that made you less efficient?
@Coach_Yac@RapSheet@JohnLynch49ers They just traded a guy with a $20M cap hit to make room for Purdy’s contract. Hard to believe they’ll then trade for someone with double the cap hit.
@JWS53338255 @ethanrph @AdamSchefter@toddarcher lol the fact that Aaron Glenn got the 20th ranked defense after playing 2nd & 3rd stringers half the season is remarkable. Let’s stop pretending that Super Bowls from 15 years ago mean you’re good enough to do it again. GB had 30 years of elite QB play in a row with 1 SB win.
@rock_climber02@joelvmoran @CommanderQ11 Hendrickson never played for the Bengals on a rookie deal. He was drafted by and played out his rookie deal with the Saints. Saints couldn’t/wouldn’t pay him his worth, so he signed for solid DE money with the Bengals as a FA. Just FYI.
@chimmyOtriumph@RapSheet@Patriots@NFLPA@NFL Honestly it’s a joke in and of itself. Merit alone should get someone an interview, regardless of skin color. Forcing a quota on teams to interview based off on ethnicity doesn’t implement DEI. Uniform standards applied to ALL people is what brings DEI to an organization.
@henrycmckenna@AlbertBreer@NBCSportsBoston The problem is, the Rooney Rule brings racial connotation to every hire. If you’re required to interview a set number of minority applicants, then they got there by the color of their skin, not by merit alone. DEI is meant to be created by uniform practices applied to ALL people.
