Wako wapi?
Random thoughts - for the love of the country of my origin, Tanzania 🇹🇿
Yesterday I wrote a tweet that I deleted. I get very emotional when I read about the land of my origin, Tanzania. After receiving many messages, especially regarding the Tanzania Democracy Forum that took place yesterday in Dar es Salaam, where Mzee Joseph Sinde Warioba, Prof. Anna Kajumulo Tibaijuka (tena natafuta picha zetu tulipokutana in age of no cellphones), Prof. Issa Shivji and other respected Tanzanians spoke, I kept thinking about it.
These are our Wazee. People who have seen Tanzania through generations….yaani 🙏🏾 hearing them speak about truth, accountability, justice, democracy, constitutional reform and what happened on October 29, 2025 is deeply emotional. Tena wanaungana na genZ to the cost of truth despite them even being in danger maana siku hizi Tanzania ukisimamia ukweli inawezekana usisike tena…Ila where is the former VP Nchimbi? Nasikia on house arrest-hapatikani🤔 Feels like we let mheshimiwa Polepole down when he spoke then disappeared… we can’t let that happen again…hii isiwe tabia ya watu kupotea au kuwa kimya wakiongea kwa manufaa ya wananchi.
Prof. Shivji reminded us that the nation is still in mourning because there has been no accountability for what happened October 29th.
Prof. Tibaijuka spoke about practical reforms -including reforming political-party registration, allowing independent candidates and changing laws that conflict with the 1977 Constitution. Mzee Warioba warned that Tanzania cannot simply move forward as if the wounds of October 29 will disappear. He questioned whether a new Constitution can realistically be completed before 2029 and warned about the consequences of entering another election without addressing the problems that brought us here.
Yes, I am human…so are you.
I become very emotional listening to our Wazee joining Gen Z in their demand for a better Tanzania, while the government continues trying to play business as usual. Uh…
No. There will be no business as usual in Tanzania, jamani. Take notes…cause we know it won’t…
Look at what is happening around Dr. Emmanuel Nchimbi. He resigned as Vice President. He had publicly spoken about constitutional reform and supporting Tanzanians’ aspirations for change. Then CCM expelled him from the party. Embu amkeni watanganyika kama bado mmelala…former Prime Minister Mzee Warioba himself says he has been unable to reach Nchimbi.
And then huyu Deogratius John Ndejembi has been sworn in as Vice President. The country’s second-highest office.… nyie… mnajua Tanganyika ilipofikia jamani? Tafakirini. Sitaki even to get into the details of what all of this means constitutionally and politically.
But when you step back and look at the entire picture…This is the deepest hole I have ever seen Tanzania dig for itself in its history. Without truth, without accountability- without answers-the whole country is pushed to move on- by all means necessary👀
And perhaps the most painful part is watching a generation of young Tanzanians demanding dignity, justice, accountability and constitutional reform -while some of our most respected Wazee are now saying essentially the same thing. Amkeni- amkeni…put political differences aside mkomboeni nchi 🙏🏾 🇹🇿
Our elders are speaking.
Our young people are speaking.
Are we listening?
I love Tanzania too much to pretend everything is okay.
I love my country of origin too much to pretend business as usual when the country is hurting.
Time will tell. 🙏🏾🇹🇿
Mungu ibariki Tanzania.
Truth. Accountability. Justice. Rebirth.
🇹🇿🙏🏾
Dr. Nicodemus Minde: All is not well in Tanzania because there is anxiety surrounding last year’s elections, with questions about accountability. The decision to oust the Vice-President was linked to October 2025 #CitizenWeekend
🚨 Alisson Becker explains his furious reaction and why he kicked the substitution board at Fulltime:
🎙️ “I was angry because we had been waiting for several minutes to make those substitutions, and then the situation with the penalty happened before we could even make the change.
“I’m not someone who likes to lose control of my emotions, but in that moment the frustration was huge. We knew we were ready to change the game, and we were forced to wait.
“We have to focus on ourselves, but when something like that happens in such an important moment, it’s difficult to just walk away and pretend nothing happened. We fought back twice, but we should have been fighting for three points that’s what hurts most.”
🚨🔴 Liverpool have booked a medical for Bradley Barcola on Sunday, then he will sign a five year deal until June 2031.

THE 7-YEAR CYCLE IS FINALLY OVER!!!
Think back to 2019 for a second. Look at how many people you’ve walked away from, how many things you’ve quit, how much you’ve outgrown, and how different your mindset is now.
CHANGAMOTO NNE KUBWA ZINAZOIKABILI SERIKALI YA RAIS SAMIA
Rev . Peter Simon Msigwa!
