The current exhibition on the work of Akihiko Okamura (1929-1985)in @PhotoMuseumIRL is really remarkable. In Ireland at the outbreak of the Troubles (brought here by an interest in JFK of all things), he remained and captured images of conflict and everyday life. These pictures show ordinary people - Catholic and Protestant - trying to live their lives against the backdrop of the Troubles, from the mundane to the dramatic days.

This world class gallery is free to visit, so be sure to grab something in the shop to support them. A real Dublin gem.
