@arenastage Hi! Will the new season of shows be offered under the Pay Your Age Under 30 program? If so, can you give an estimate on when they might become available? (~2 months like the FAQs mention?)
I took the VRE to Union Station a few weeks ago for the *exact* reason of sitting in this stunning space and working for a few hours. It genuinely ruined my morning to discover that the benches had been removed.
Believe it or not this used to be completely full with people on a Tuesday at 10:44 AM.
Not just travelers either. Business meetings. Senate staffers out to coffee or early lunch. Remote workers sitting at one of the now shuttered businesses. And yes, travelers waiting for 🚂
@TheEverygirl_ did you bring back the Target daily planners for 2023? I don’t see them on your announcement page. Don’t break my heart and say they aren’t available this year!!

@EmSarconi I knew what book you were talking about from your initial tweet, and then reading the thread got me heated all over again!!
While reading, each reference to the Sanborn maps especially hurt my little preservationist heart more and more each time.
"don't waste your time, don't waste your life's purpose worrying about your body. this is your vessel, it's your house, it's where you live. there's no point in judging it." — emma thompson, thank you for this
I found a lovely stone wall and disassociated for over 2 hours. I said the F word in front of my mom (whoops). And then had a full sobbing meltdown in a Denny’s.
Reason says I probably should have left that job that day. But it ended up giving me invaluable lessons and friends.
Entire org fired or furloughed via letter on desk. But I was on leave & wake up to a text from my boss asking for a call. Learn the news (furloughed), sit through several painful all-staff calls.
Then I had to *text* my CEO a 👍🏻 or 👎🏻 to let her know if I wanted to keep my job.
Not even kidding. The *actual* emoji. No words, just thumbs.
The worst part of this day was that I was visiting Death Valley NP and only had service/WiFi at the visitors center. So I went hours without the full story or even knowing who was left on my team.

And because this segment had me reminiscing: One time I managed to write an entire archeological book review *without* ever mentioning a lick of archeology. Clearly I was his favorite student.
I’ll forever sing the praises of my education and professors at #umwhisp, but it is moments like these that remind me just how special they are — constantly giving back to the community at large, even post-retirement.
At Sharswood, historic preservationists were interested in a dilapidated building behind the main house they suspected had once been slave quarters. Fred Miller, who owns both houses, says, “It’s kind of crazy for me just to even walk around out there.” https://t.co/dwctsm62b1
