🚨 Kia India & Taapasi Kia: Unacceptable Customer Service! 🚨
It’s been 70+ days since my Kia Carens infotainment system failed after a software update at Kia’s service center, and I’m still fighting for a proper resolution. Instead of taking responsibility, Kia India, Taapasi Kia, and Mobis India Pvt Ltd are delaying, ignoring emails, and now even threatening me with parking charges! 😡
Here’s My Story:
✅ Jan 5, 2025 – I took my Kia Carens (KA03NL6260) for regular service and a software update at Taapasi Kia. After the update, my infotainment system stopped working!
✅ Raised a complaint (SR ID: 01620454) and kept following up daily for a resolution.
✅ Kia acknowledged the issue and finally replaced the infotainment system—AFTER 70+ DAYS! 🚗💥
✅ Now they refuse to extend my warranty—even though my car was with them all this time!
✅ Threatened with ₹450+ GST per day parking charges if I don’t pick up the vehicle without a resolution!
Why is Mobis India Pvt Ltd Silent?
❓ Why is Mobis India Pvt Ltd not being held accountable for this failure?
❓ Despite repeated complaints from multiple Kia Carens owners regarding infotainment issues, why is there NO response from Mobis India?
❓ Why is Kia India protecting its vendor instead of addressing genuine customer concerns?
Unanswered Questions:
❓ Who is responsible for my infotainment system failure after Kia’s software update?
❓ Why should I bear the cost of their poor-quality product & delay?
❓ Who will compensate me for 3 months of EMIs & insurance when my car was stuck at Kia’s service center?
❓ How can I trust that no other parts of my vehicle were tampered with?
❓ Why has Kia ignored 40+ emails without a proper response?
I have called Kia@24 multiple times daily, spoken to Punith, Aryan, Kapil, Rishab, and others—every time, the same scripted response: “We are escalating the issue.” NO ACTION. NO SOLUTION.
🔴 Kia India, Mobis India Pvt Ltd, and Taapasi Kia—why are you running away from accountability?
🚨 I demand:
✅ Warranty extension for downtime + 1 extra year, covering all parts.
✅ Compensation for financial loss (EMIs, insurance, & inconvenience).
✅ A transparent, written assurance that my vehicle has not been tampered with.
Enough is enough! @KiaInd @KiaIndia @MobisIndia Do you treat all customers like this?
I will not remain silent. If Kia doesn’t act immediately, I will escalate this legally and publicly.

The Saga of a Faulty Infotainment System: A Kia Customer’s Unresolved Struggle
Introduction
When purchasing a vehicle, one places trust in the brand’s reputation, product quality, and customer service. Unfortunately, for me, a proud owner of a Kia Carens (KA03NL6260), this trust has been met with frustration and disappointment. This article highlights my unresolved ordeal with Kia’s faulty infotainment system and the unresponsive service from Kia India and Taapasi Kia.
The Problem
I purchased my Kia Carens on March 2, 2022, based on the brand’s reputation. However, just two years into ownership, the infotainment system’s touch functionality stopped working. This issue surfaced after a software update performed at the Taapasi Kia service center, raising questions about the quality and reliability of Kia’s components and updates.
Kia and Dealership’s Responses
On January 5, 2025, I took the vehicle to Taapasi Kia for inspection. The dealership informed me that the infotainment system required refurbishment and that the warranty had expired. Despite my repeated assertions that this was a manufacturing defect, they refused to cover the repair under the standard warranty.
Here’s the summary of responses:
Kia India’s Initial Response
Generic Acknowledgment: Kia India acknowledged my concern via SR ID 01559803 and assured me that the dealership had been informed for priority resolution. However, no clear timeline or actionable steps were provided.
Lack of Accountability: Their emails repeatedly assured “priority resolution” without any real updates or steps to resolve the issue.
Taapasi Kia’s Handling of the Case
Communication Gaps: Despite numerous calls to Ms. Shanthi (Vehicle Receiving Manager), her assurances that the Service Manager would call back went unfulfilled.
Neglect of Responsibilities:
The dealership’s repeated failure to follow up or provide updates showcases their lack of accountability and customer focus.
Escalation Attempts
After weeks of frustration, I escalated the matter, raising critical questions:
Why was the infotainment system not repaired under warranty?
This issue clearly stems from a manufacturing defect aggravated by the service center’s software update.
Kia’s warranty policy mentions coverage for 3 years or 50,000 km. Why was this not honored in my case?
Who is responsible for the delay?
I’ve been without my car for over 15 days, and neither Kia India nor Taapasi Kia has provided a resolution.
Customer Neglect:
Why should customers bear the financial burden for defective parts in newly launched vehicles?
Evidence of a Widespread Problem
Further research revealed that my experience is not isolated. Many Kia Carens owners have reported similar issues with the infotainment system. Examples include:
TOI Article: Kia Carens MPV Recalled in India
YouTube: Kia Carens Touchscreen Issues
Team-BHP: Faulty HU Screen Replacement
Facebook Discussions
Team-BHP: Touchscreen Malfunction Issue
Unanswered Questions for Kia
How does Kia justify selling vehicles with defective infotainment systems?
Why is there no accountability for such widespread issues?
What steps is Kia taking to prevent these problems in future models?
Final Thoughts
As a customer, I invested in Kia Carens based on the trust in its brand value. However, this experience has shattered my confidence in Kia’s product quality and customer service. While Kia’s marketing campaigns highlight innovation and reliability, the reality for many customers like me is far from the promises made.
I urge Kia India to take immediate action to resolve my case and address the broader issues affecting their customers. It’s time for Kia to uphold its brand value by prioritizing customer satisfaction over corporate indifference.

@kiacareindia As of now, I have not received any response from either #KiaIndia or #TappassiKia regarding the resolution of this issue. I have sent multiple emails to both Kia India and the Tappassi Kia service center, but the matter remains unaddressed and unresolved.

Thank you for your response. However, I’m unable to understand the prolonged delay in resolving my issue. No clear deadline has been provided for the resolution. I’d like to know when I can expect my car to be returned fully repaired and free of any further complaints.
In the meantime, how am I supposed to manage travel? If I need a rental car, who will cover the expenses? Additionally, I’m still paying monthly financial dues for my Kia Carens—are you offering any compensation for this inconvenience?
Please refrain from sending generic responses like “we’re working on it” and prioritize a swift and actionable resolution. Immediate attention to this matter would be highly appreciated. #Kia #KiaIndia #TheKiaSyros #Syros, #kiacare, #customerServiceKia, #Kia_Worldwide, #TaapasiKia #JspKia, #VstKia, #AdvaithKia , #NaaraKia, #Epitomekia, #Ppskia,
