CBSE has highlighted key reforms introduced under the new On-Screen Marking (OSM) system adopted by CBSE for Class XII examinations during the press briefing held on 17th May 2026.

CBSE has reduced the fees for access to scanned answer book copies, verification of marks and re-evaluation of answers, making the post-result process more accessible and affordable for students and parents across the country.

This technology-driven evaluation process strengthens accuracy, transparency and efficiency in the assessment mechanism.

विद्यालय प्रबंधन समिति (SMC) निपुण भारत मिशन के अंतर्गत बुनियादी साक्षरता और संख्यात्मकता (FLN) को सुदृढ़ करने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाती हैं, जो राष्ट्रीय शिक्षा नीति 2020 के अनुरूप है जिसमें कक्षा 2 तक सभी बच्���ों में #FLN सुनिश्चित करने पर बल दिया गया है। अभिभावकों और समुदाय की सक्रिय भागीदारी से ये समितियाँ छात्रों के लिए अनुकूल और समावेशी शिक्षण वातावरण बनाने में सहयोग करती हैं।

SMC प्रारंभिक कक्षाओं में मातृभाषा या स्थानीय भाषा के उपयोग को प्रोत्साहित करती हैं, सामुदायिक सहयोग से पठन को बढ़ावा देती हैं, पठन को बढ़ावा देने के लिए रीडिंग कॉर्नर स्थापित करने, कहानी सत्र आयोजित करने और अभिभावक-आधारित पठन गतिविधियों को बढ़ावा ���ेने जैसे प्रयास करती हैं, जिससे बच्चों के लिए सीखना अधिक रोचक और प्रभावी बनता है।SMC दिशानिर्देश का विमोचन 6 मई 2026 को किया जाएगा।

The Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam marks a milestone in strengthening inclusive governance by providing for 33% reservation for women in the Lok Sabha and State Legislative Assemblies.

Around 777 institutions, including 26 Central Universities, 32 State Universities, and 719 Colleges, have organised a wide range of academic and outreach programmes, engaging over 1 lakh participants across the country.

These initiatives are encouraging informed dialogue on gender parity, constitutional values, and the importance of equitable representation of women in decision-making processes, thereby contributing meaningfully to the vision of inclusive and participatory governance.
