"When death comes for us, may it find us in peace, in privacy, not in the middle of a strangers with cameras"
This is a prayer one should make multiple times daily. May Allah have mercy upon the lost, and may He grant healing to the body and heart of the survivor.
I follow this young couple on TikTok, they just had a newborn baby. They had a terrible accident few days back.
I went back to watch their videos after hearing about the accident, and it really got to me. They looked so happy, so normal, just living their lives with their little girl.
Then I saw the accident video, a trailer had climbed on top of their car, and trapped them inside.
What really broke me was not just the accident, it was the people around. So many bystanders, phones out, recording. Watching. A soldier was even there, but everything just felt slow and scattered, like nobody really stepped in with urgency.
I later read that the woman survived, but her husband and baby didn’t.
Since then, I haven’t been able to shake one thought. If they were still alive for even a few minutes in that wreck, what did they see? What did they feel?🥲
To be trapped like that, in pain, with your child beside you and see people watching and filming. It is just heartbreaking. It feels so unfair. So undignified.
I know maybe there wasn’t much anyone could do, but still...
I find myself praying quietly that when my own time comes, it meets me in peace, in privacy, not in the middle of a strangers with cameras.
May Allah grant her shifa, forgive the deceased, have mercy on them, and grant them rest.
Wallahi nobody needs to know that you are up for Tahajjud. The posts, streaks, and subtle hints are uncalled for. Keep your act of Ibadah between you and your Rabb.

Ramadan is more than just a season of fasting; it’s a masterclass in discipline and empathy. 🌙
May this period bring clarity to our visions and strength to our service. To all my brothers and sisters, Ramadan Kareem! 🕌✨

Let this season be a time to fast from complacency and feast on purpose. To all our Christian fellows, may this Lent be a bridge to your greatest self.
