Why should people die from preventable illnesses and pregnant women transported on motorcycles to other communities, when a health facility was constructed??
In 2019, a health facility was constructed at Pabiri Community in Kuje Area Council, FCT under the FCT Community and Social Development Project, and since then, this facility has not been opened for use.
Community members reported that immediately after the commissioning of the facility, it was abandoned and locked. No healthcare personnel was deployed to manage or operate the centre.
During our visit, we witnessed a disturbing situation where a pregnant woman in labour had to be transported on a motorcycle to another community about 5km away for medical assistance.
Community members have also narrated several cases of deteriorating health cases due to lack of access to timely treatment and incidents of avoidable deaths resulting from delays in accessing medical care.
We implore the office of @GovWike, the @Fmohnigeria, @NphcdaNG, to facilitate the immediate renovation, equipping and staffing of this facility for use.

Dear Gov @_PastorUmoEno,
Ikot Edong Health Centre, Abak LGA, Akwa Ibom state has been in a dire state for over 10years.
This facility is the only public health facility serving the entire Ikot Edong and there are no functional toilets, no electricity, and no water source. The building is dilapidated, with cracked walls that threaten to collapse and a roof that leaks during rainfall.
This facility is not at all suitable for healthcare delivery. Despite receiving medical equipment through the BHPH, it remains unused due to the lack of a proper facility.
We implore your office and the @NphcdaNG , the @Fmohnigeria to facilitate the reconstruction of this facility.

Dear. @drfatima84 I want to join the world to wish you a very happy congratulations to you on your new role as the DG/CEO national biosafety management agency.
I trust your capacity to contribute to the growth of the. Nation in the agency.
Congratulations once again.
We tracked the Sokoto Badagry Super-Highway from both ends this month, the Lagos axis and Sokoto axis.
On the Lagos end, the project is currently within Ogun State, stretching from Diya Gate, OPIC Estate, Agbara to Iyana Idoye, Lusada. Sparse work was observed at Odugbe in Lusada, Ado Odo/Ota LGA. The project terminated at Phase 4, Atan with only one side of the road under construction by Hitech Construction Company Limited.
At the Sokoto end in Illela LGA, work was ongoing, bush clearing, sand filling, and site preparation. On the section towards Katami, Silame LGA, Sokoto and in Kebbi State, some portions have been completed with concrete paving and solar lighting installed. Progress is uneven and slow.
Now here is what has been committed on paper, FEC has approved contracts worth N2.36tn for the highway since 2024, (N947bn for Kebbi single carriageway in August 2024, N456bn for Sokoto 120km section in October 2024 flagoff and N961bn for Kebbi second carriageway for August 2025).
Just 3 days ago, President @officialABAT sent a fresh request to the Senate for a $516.3m loan from Deutsche Bank, the largest single external injection into this project yet.
But the Minister of Works, @realdaveumahi admitted in February 2026 that only N210.31bn, 9.7% of expected 2025 capital releases have actually been paid to contractors. Contractors across @FMWNIG projects are owed N2.2tn for advanced work. Commitments on paper.
The total cost of this 1,068km highway alone is projected at over
N6.5tn, borrowed money, at a time when Nigeria already spends substantial part of her total revenue servicing existing debt.
We urgently call on the Federal Government of Nigeria and @nassnigeria to;
- Properly scrutinize every new loan.
- Release funds owed to contractors.
- Publish quarterly disbursement reports for this highways.
- Scrutinise the $516.3m Deutsche Bank loan terms transparently.
Citizens deserve infrastructure and fiscal accountability, not one without the other.

Pregnant women in Chatti community share stream with Cattles and Reptiles‼️
ATTENTION @GovWike,
Chatti community is in Kuje Area Council, FCT and for over 100 years, they wake up and head to a muddy contaminated stream shared with animals to get water.
This is the only source of water for over 7,500 people; young, old, women, children.
Mrs. James, a pregnant woman, shared how she has to get to the stream by 5am to get water for her family. Water that is often polluted by cattle. Water that is unsafe, but she has no options.
In Chatti, the absence of clean water is only the beginning. No functional health facility. No school. No basic infrastructure.
We implore your office and the @FMWRNigeria, to facilitate the provision of clean water and other amenities for Chatti community.

URGENT!!
Gov @MalaBuni , Hon Mohammed Buba jajere, Hon. Ibrahim Muhammad Bomai, Hon Audu Bukar Gadaka,
The people of Fika have no medical lifeline. Lewe PHC in Fika, which should be a lifeline for the community, is almost a ghosthouse.
The facility is in a dangerously dilapidated state, unsafe, with no beds, medical equipment, laboratory, or medical staff.
Despite this, residents still rely on it for treatment, putting lives at risk and limiting access to proper treatment.
We implore your offices and the @Fmohnigeria, @NphcdaNG, to facilitate the immediate reconstruction of this facility. Quality healthcare is non-negotiable!

As each part of LEA Primary Sch collapses, the future of 3,600 children hangs in the balance⚖️
At LEA Primary School, Yangoji in Kwali Area Council, FCT, over 3600 pupils are learning under dangerously deteriorating buidlings.
For over 2 years, the school building has been left with damaged roofs, broken classrooms, and unsafe learning spaces. Half the time, pupils are scared of the building collapsing on them.
This is a community of about 9,500 residents, yet this is the only accessible public primary school.
The collapse of one of the blocks has forced pupils from pry 1 and 2 to share the same space, leading to severe overcrowding; over 600 pupils in each class.
We implore the offices of Hon. Danladi Chiya, Hon. Abdulrahman Ajiya, Gov @GovWike, Sen @IretiKingibe and the @NigEducation to facilitate the reconstruction of this facility and provide learning facilities for the children of Yangoji.

“I wake up at 2am to fetch water and I still miss school.” Mary Danlami, a JSS 3 student in Rubochi cries!
In Kulo, survival comes before education.
This is Kulo community, under Kuje Area Council, FCT where access to clean water has become a daily struggle for over 3,500 residents. Residents depend on distant rivers, spending several hours trying to get water and even more (mostly futile) efforts, trying to purify the water.
The impact is severe. Some residents days without bathing due to the scarcity and people get sick and the sick get worse from drinking this water.
For children, the cost is greater. Many pupils are forced to miss school as they assist their families in fetching water.
Mary Danlami, a JSS 3 student in Rubochi, shared her reality with us:
“I wake up by 2am to go to the river with my mum. When I get there, I meet long queues. By the time I fetch water, it’s already 10am and school has started. I’ve missed tests and practicals because of this.”
In Kulo, the lack of water is not just an inconvenience, it is robbing children of their education, causing health issues, and straining quality of life.
Dear reps: Hon Abdullahi Sabo, Hon Abdulrahman Ajiya, Gov @GovWike, Sen @IretiKingibe, we ask that you prioritize the provision of clean water for Kulo community. A lot is at stake!
