Kash Patel did not have an FBI email account hacked. The hackers hacked Gmail. The hackers made the leaked files downloadable, and at this time, out of the 300 emails leaked, nothing appears to contain sensitive information. Nothing damaging was done except for Iran's success at inciting distrust in some people towards Kash Patel and Trump's administration.

FBI director got hacked, OMG, but he leads the FBI and security and stuff! It was his personal gmail account and what was leaked was non-sensitive documents from the time before he was the FBI director. Don't fall for Iranian propaganda.

Fox News says the information that was leaked comes from Kash Patel's personal gmail account. The emails contained "personal and work correspondence that date between 2010 and 2019, well before Patel served as the FBI director."
