KRA supports KASL’s view that this piece of legislation would harm literacy efforts across our Commonwealth. Full and vibrant libraries are essential for literacy development in schools, and certified librarians are crucial for a successful library. We support KASL’s efforts.
My face when I found out I won the James Phillips Memorial grant from Kentucky Reading Association! The pic has a hint about the family literacy event I'm planning❄️☃️🎁
I loved attending the @KyReadingAssoc conference over the last few days! It was two days filled with learning about literacy. I’m so proud to be a part of @TheKCSD and the support our district gives our teachers and students! #kyreadlocal#kcsdropedintoreading
As we close out our conference weekend, we hope that each of you had the best experience. Each year countless people work tirelessly to ensure that our state can come together and have those important literacy conversations that we need to have to push our practice forward. (1/6)
The conversation doesn’t have to end. We hope that you will find ways to engage with KRA throughout the year too. Connect with your local chapter, apply for our mini grants, attend professional learning, seek out our board meetings. (5/6)
