I don't have any hot takes and wouldn't share them here if I did. But I'm thinking about the political left and its connection to culture, art, social media and how we utilize it to connect with normal people. It's its own thing and skill set. And it's worth the investment.

I think sometimes on the left it's seen as extra, a bonus, not essential. And the truth is it's not the only thing you can or should use to engage with and reach people. But it's one thing. And we don't leave power on the table

This sounds frivolous in the grand scheme of things but we need to support archivists, protect public libraries, protect journalists, writers, artists, photographers, and filmmakers. We need to continue to keep culture alive and educate our youth.

there are no bad intentions from anyone. but I think we should hold ourselves to a standard of acknowledgment, respect, and being factually true whenever we can.
also not being inflammatory for no reason. it feeds the machine and hurts us all
if you work or do social media and you aren't trying to source original work that you're resharing and at the very least give credit - I think you should.
it's a matter of respect for the work others do
It also means not just directly copying others work, which I see all the time from those with large & engaged followings. organizations and people.
I love the culture of inspiration that comes with social. we feed off of each other's work n ideas. direct copies aren't necessary
