Introducing Emergence.
It removes learner ontology from Adapt-1’s online learning setup. Observation paths, temporal context, causal variables and action-state bindings can now be induced online from interaction and committed as revisioned state.

Summary of $REI Token Utility Plans:
• Ecosystem token for access, ownership, attribution, and exchange across the Rei / Unit 00 layer
• Planned settlement currency for marketplaces of Core instances, published knowledge, learned structures, and inspectable traces
• Planned revenue-funded buybacks (not live yet)
• Intended for transparent on-chain marketplace settlements and treasury activity
• Supports future company–token alignment (ownership structure, revenue flows, buyback mechanics)
A reward can tell an RL/online learner that something worked without telling it which combination of internal signals made it work.
Today, we’re unlocking two learning rules in Adapt-1 Preview: Counterfactual Utility Plasticity (CUP) and Temporal Context Projection (TCP).
We revisited DeepMind's DM Alchemy, comparing three approaches: Adapt-1's ontology-based online sequential learning, Pinon et al.'s transformer dynamics with tree search, and AlKhamissi et al.'s modified representation with episodic memory.

Quick TLDR on REI's ADAPT part 1, for the people asking me to write something:
There doesn't seem to be any big reveal here yet, but seems like essential context for whatever is in the pipeline.
Basic overview:
- they published the failure modes. the report says where it breaks - "density can masquerade as relevance". Signals they are more interested in technical honesty over hype.
- Added decent footnotes to all the points of reference they are building on the shoulders of.
- possibly one big load-bearing idea: the "read/write split" introduced. AI that learns while running usually corrupts itself - drifts, forgets, becomes an unauditable mess. REI separates the two: reasoning is read-only (think freely, change nothing), learning only happens when evidence earns a permanent write.
The last point - i think that's a real possible keystone here. Thinking can't poison memory, and every change stays inspectable. continuous learning AND auditability (the two things that normally trade off)
still no benchmarks. No code to audit. Thats the kind of stuff that will put the critics to bed and attract the AI crowd... but as an architecture disclosure, some really decent honestly and anti-hype type info here.

Test-time learning has a catch that scaling alone does not solve: the state a system writes to in order to learn is also the record a user must inspect to audit it. Optimize it only for learning, and auditability usually degrades.

Part I treats the learning state and the audit record as the same object. This starts the ADAPT series, exploring the architecture section by section.
The $REI team has been cooking hard, and it looks like they’ll slowly start sharing what they’ve been building in secrecy over the last 6–12 months.
Very exciting first share in a while and I have reason to think they’ll surprise a lot of folks.
Agents today: a genius with amnesia reading his own diary every morning.
This: a simple guy who remembers what worked. He's dumber on day one and smarter every day after.
And no, you don't replace the genius. You just stop asking the genius to remember things, he's sucks at it.
You put a simple guy next to him whose only job is learning what actually works.

A research release of Adapt-1 Preview, with formal academic publication to follow.
This highly likely will make ripples far beyond web3. Ofc we need independent researchers to confirm these numbers but since the api is accessible publicly already this is just a matter of time. I am currently testing myself.
$REI about to make rounds in mainstream academia
