Hey @DenverAirportW@united the B Gate expansion area at the Denver Airport is literally a sauna compared to the rest of the airport. It’s like being banished to the shed out back with no air.
@samhardiman I tried to help poor Memphians advocate for themselves and call out the dirty politics happening in Memphis and I lost my job. Memphis politics are keeping this city from moving forward, daily.

Before CEO, community leader, workforce expert or even wife…I am a MOM. It is above EVERYTHING & since his 1st breath I’ve had vivid nightmares of my son calling out to me in his final moments of pain or fear & not being there. Tyre calling out to his mother shatters my soul.
I’m too horrified to have a profound or eloquently prepared statement yet. The inhumanity is gut-wrenching. As a community Memphis has not shied away from calling out the ugliness that exists here, and everywhere. In my capacity I am COMMITTED to doing our part to get to the
root of these tensions. Understand, poverty is a driver. Lack of opportunity leading to increased crime is a driver. Disinvestment in communities of color is a driver. Apathy to our fellow citizens trapped in systemic cycles are a driver. As workforce leaders we DO have impact.
Today was a good day. It’s critical for organizations to take an introspective look at culture. Who are we as a workforce system? What is so essential to who we are that it’s in our system’s DNA. Our AJC team SHOWED UP and it was amazing to be together again!

Several U.S. cities are piloting "universal basic mobility" programs that subsidize bus rides, e-bikes and scooters in the hopes of sparking an economic boost https://t.co/29sDOETMVf
@tamisawyer It’s an issue we HAVE to figure out—for business growth & worker well-being. Strategy of being the low-wage workforce capital of mid-south has not led us to any of the outcomes we seek. We WANT businesses to thrive; just not at the expense of 30% poverty.
