@RobTheHockeyGuy Ownership has money, but it’s mostly tied up in real estate. They don’t have the kind of liquid cash to run a modern NHL team anymore. Salaries are too high, and players demand world class facilities when they make this much. They either need to sell, or get a minority partner.

@JeffVeillette No practice facility, no bad contracts coming in for draft picks, cheapest possible coaching staff and management. Not exactly a plan that entices fans to get behind it. The Aquilinis don’t have the liquid capital to play in a league that got expensive all of a sudden.
