Oy...been in and out of the hospital twice this month...the second time, my father came over to drop off some things and saw me sitting on the sofa unresponsive or talking gibberish. I know there were EMTs in my house, and I don't remember it at all.
@pig_tickle This is why I don't drive myself to my chemo appointments. I have my ride stay until we know I'm actually going to GET the treatment, then someone picks me up hours later. Mostly my father. ...in fact, entirely my father so far. He's been amazing during this whole thing.
Quick cancer update: This 6th chemo cycle did not go smoothly. I had a very negative reaction to one of the chemo drugs 20 minutes into the therapy, despite being fine for the past 5 cycles (I'm told this is not abnormal). /1
But the physical signs of this disease shrinking away are still present and improving. I'm gonna kick this disease's ass to get out of my body. I just know it. /end
On the positive side, I have started eating just a little bit of food here and there. I'm able to take in a certain amount before my gut starts hurting (albeit hours later). I always have to be careful of what and how much I eat right now. /3
So, Cancer Update: So far I've had 3 cycles of chemo. The third was delayed a week because I had a very low white blood cell count at the time. Thankfully the next week I had a rather high WBC count and the oncologist gave the go-ahead.
I just want to thank you all who have kept me in your thoughts and prayers. I know some people don't believe in such things, but to me, the support is keeping me moving forward. It means more to me than anyone could possibly realize. Love y'all!
Anyway, I don't think I have much else to talk about. I just thank God that I got my mental health mostly sorted before this happened. I can't imagine what would have happened if I hadn't been treating for mental health issues since 2018. I don't like thinking about it.
