Sports make a great game - but a terrible God.
Listen carefully if you’re an athlete…
One day the season will end.
One day the career will end.
One day the applause will stop.
If your identity is in the game, you’ll feel lost when the game is gone.
But if your identity is in God, the game simply becomes a platform.
Sports are meant to be played.
They were never meant to be worshipped.
Train hard.
Compete with excellence.
Honor God with your effort.
But never forget:
Your purpose is bigger than your performance.
“You shall have no other gods before me.”
{Exodus 20:3}
WWE legend The Undertaker (Mark Calaway) has publicly spoken about returning more deeply to his Christian faith later in life.
In interviews after his retirement, Calaway shared that his wife, Michelle McCool, a Christian, played a major role in leading him back toward Christ and strengthening his faith. Through their marriage, prayer, and shared values, faith became more central in his life.
As he stepped away from wrestling and reflected on mortality, family, and purpose beyond fame, Calaway described belief in Jesus Christ as a grounding force that reshaped how he lives off-screen.
Common opponents absolutely should matter!
But I guess Illinois just didn't count?
Indiana beat Illinois 63-10
Ohio State beat Illinois 34-16 https://t.co/vn14AESEeZ

Nico Hoerner is the best home-to-first base runner on the Cubs.
Head down, quick first step. No shuffle-shuffle. No lunging to first.
Everyone can learn from Nico!
That’s not even textbook holding. That’s a straight-up tackle of Notre Dame DT Donovan Hinish on Texas A&M’s game-winning touchdown.
Incredibly heinous to lose a game that way. Sheesh.
Be better, SEC refs.
One of my favorite sets we’ve used. Pretty much checks all the boxes for me on what makes a good BLOB. Even uses a little misdirection, which is why you had to watch it twice. 😏
Josh Allen, signing autographs after practice, takes ball cap off to shake hands with military members in autograph line. Impossible not to love this guy:
The corner screen in works great against 3-2 zones...
The defenders on the blocks of a 3-2 are commonly taller/slower players, usually not as nimble to get through screens in recovery
