A partnership with the Federal govt to create a hybrid National Park of our River Valley, and that it offers protections, funding, and tools to keep it safe for generations to come. Heritage status as well (as envisioned by @SmokyLakeCounty ).
This is an Alberta Emergency Alert. Environment Canada has issued a Tornado Watch.
This alert is in effect for a large area in central Alberta, from Yellowhead County to Edmonton, south to Lacombe (see attached map).
Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms which may produce tornadoes. Strong winds, large hail and heavy rain are also possible. Thunderstorms that develop this evening have the potential to produce a tornado. These thunderstorms will move east towards central Alberta through the evening.
To report severe weather, send an email to [email protected], call 1-800-239-0484 or post reports on X using #ABStorm.
In the event of a tornado, go indoors to a room on the lowest floor, away from outside walls and windows. A good place would be a basement, bathroom, stairwell or interior closet.
Leave mobile homes, vehicles, tents, trailers and other temporary or free-standing shelter, and move to a strong building if you can.
As a last resort, lie in a low spot and protect your head from flying debris.
It is particularly dangerous to be on a small craft on the open water when lightning is occurring.

This is an Alberta Emergency Alert. The City of Edmonton is issuing a water supply alert.
This alert is in effect for the entire City of Edmonton.
Heavy rainfall over the past 24 hours has pushed the region's stormwater system to capacity, with localized flooding and backups being reported in neighbouring communities. If the stormwater system continues to operate over-capacity, flooding and sewer backups will continue to increase.
Avoid unnecessary indoor water use. Limit showers and baths. Delay laundry and dishwasher use. Ensure sump pumps and downspouts are functioning properly to direct water away from homes. For more information, check https://t.co/K8qEsFjXIT

Are you kidding me?
Premier Smith wanted more immigrants 2 years ago and complained to Ottawa about restricting newcomers.
She requested more immigrants.
Come on.
This is…
Remarkable.
After CITYNews ran a story about how the separatism question in Alberta became a distraction from the charitable memorial climb that Demetrios Nicolaides did for his murdered sister…
They have been blackballed by Nicolaides Press Secretary.

Contrast ?
This is what it looks like.
Engage with the world and lead.
Or mock the idea of engaging with others to make some sophomoric conspiracy crank happy.
"Fort Saskatchewan, Alta. Ice Breaking in Spring" by A.M. Sutherland, posted there on 20 December 1905 to Prince Albert, Ontario County, Ontario, where it arrived 120 years ago this day, on 26 December 1905. This type of scene is still a long, long way off.
