In 2026, I’m continuing to make steady progress each day towards a playable build and a Kickstarter campaign.
Thank you for your continued support of On My Own: New Frontier. Wishing you the best in 2026!

The latest build of New Frontier has a revamped code base, meaning new items, animals, and features are a lot easier to add now.
We've also been working on a new art style that captures the essence of the first game a bit more than our prototype did.

The biggest story in the games industry the past year has been these IP acquisitions.
I think it's a "battening down the hatches" for some major industry changes.
As we extend the joy and community of gaming to everyone, we are incredibly excited to welcome the fantastic teams and iconic franchises of Activision Blizzard to Team Xbox https://t.co/DVrgYS8ssB
As games and traditional entertainment start to merge, I think there's going to be new competitors and new ways to reach people that are going to really shake things up.
Thank you all for supporting the 🔥Rekindled Update this past year — 2021 was our second best year ever for "On My Own" (now almost 6 years old!), and it encouraged us to start creating a sequel, "On My Own: New Frontier". I’m looking forward to sharing more in 2022.
Our New Year’s resolution for 2022? Continuing to grow our game making skills and share more about "On My Own: New Frontier"!
What are you wishing for this coming year?🤔

@DavidWehle I think the aesthetics of the original go really well with the stripped down approach to game design and narrative. Feels so cohesive all around.
There's a great PS3 version (of the original) with a better frame rate & HD textures plus has the game ICO too.
Worth noting too, I think this is the second game to launch on #Steam from a local Fargo game maker. A huge accomplishment for Erik, shipping a game ain't easy.
I've always longed for a "creative getaway" trip -- so we did it!
It was fun spending a full week making stuff with these super creative game makers @RubenTipparach @CodyQualley

Went out to a remote lake cabin for some fresh air and inspiration earlier this month. We’re “building” something new—can you guess what it is?
New video update with all the details coming later this month!
