@Edd_Gregory Love these stats, but it would be good to see # offloads post contact, where I think DDA falls short. Aki has developed this part of his game, as evidenced by his offload for the first IRE try vs SCO.

Bryson DeChambeau has made some mistakes, and he's brought a lot of the derision he receives upon himself. But I tried to write about him for @GolfDigest through an empathetic lens, because I'm the father of an atypical boy who's also an easy target.

@SaffaStrachan Perhaps the thinking is Pollard generally better in the 1st half when the game is more structured, with Elton coming on for impact when it’s more loose?
For me, this data partly dispels the view held by many South Africans when reminded that we are now 5th on the list of total cases: 'Ja, but our number of deaths are so low'.
Next few weeks/months will be telling.

This is significant. It confirms what many have suspected - official COVID deaths in SA are severely understated. A result of low testing volumes in comparison to many other countries.
Some very basic analysis below.

Another big increase in excess deaths in South Africa this week -- now estimated at more than 22,000 excess deaths, compared to 17,000 last week. This from the SA Medical Research Council weekly report:
Whilst excess deaths per million in SA still lags many of the hardest hit countries, we should expect this to rise in the coming months as we reach our peak.
The weekly death curve (and by extension Excess Deaths) shows little sign of flattening.
