The city owns the building...
Asking the tenant to shell out money for renovations the Landlord is responsible for is backwards thinking.
Yet... because Dundon has $ (& is branded as cheap), he's the bad guy.
Trail Blazers owner Tom Dundon wants taxpayers to pay the entire $600 million bill for the team's arena renovations.
“It feels like we’re making a pretty big investment by staying here and paying these tax rates," the billionaire said this week in Portland.

Sources: Texas Tech transfer quarterback Brendan Sorsby plans to enter the NFL Supplemental Draft. Amid the legal wrangling over his NCAA eligibility after admitting he bet on sports, he intends to head to the NFL.
Crazy to be a Portland sports fan watching SA and NY rally behind their local NBA team.
Meanwhile, Portland Govt needs a survey and town halls to discuss the "importance" of using funds to renovate the Moda Center, which correlates to keeping the NBA in Portland. #RipCity.
This is middle school level logic.
We can't abandon him so we have to play him to help him.
Actually, you don't have to play him and you don't have to abandon him. You can actually get him help WITHOUT playing him
Great post, and this is part is absolutely spot on!
“There is a difference between defending the person and defending the mistake.
Texas Tech is in an impossible spot. Deep down, they may have hoped the final ruling would remove the decision from their hands. Exhaust every option, support the player, let the process play out, and if he is ruled ineligible, accept it. That is the cleanest outcome for a program trying to balance loyalty, discipline, public pressure, and competitive integrity.”
Gambling on your sport on a team you play on has always been illegal & results in bans/significant suspensions...
Yet, college football has turned this into a gray area topic for the spineless.

@dwightjaynes And that's fine. I think that's closed-minded way of thinking though. The best businesses are open to new ideas. To not hear as many different ideas or philosophies as possible when you have the opportunity is ignorant, imo.
@dwightjaynes I haven't felt it as helter-skelter, but I wont argue if ppl feel it has been. Personally, I prefer the cast the wider net approach. I fail to see how talking to more ppl about a job opening is a bad thing.
