@farmingandJesus Don’t get me wrong. There are great Christians in the Church of Christ just like any other church, they have their issues. I got involved in Campus Crusade but then shortly was led into Calvinism for 7 years which I would say is worse than the Church of Christ.
@farmingandJesus I grew up in a non-instrumental COC and I felt like all the talked about was not having instruments in worship and baptism being essential for salvation and it got in the way of so much else. My specific church majored in the minors. Once I left, I learned thrived in my faith.
@wordy_fiend@farmingandJesus It took me a while to get the full deprogramming too. 10 years after dropping Calvinism, I dropped all everything Augustinian and after.
@farmingandJesus Yes, but not unconditionally and not from before creation. His church is predestined to be conformed to the image of Christ and are elected/chosen based on faith. TULIP is garbage!!!
Young people in Greece are sick of the bogus Greek Orthodox church.
It doesn't give them the true Gospel, nor does it feed them spiritually whatsoever.
We need more Baptist missionaries to evangelize the young people in Greece because they are ready to receive the Gospel!
@ProvisionistP I love that book! It’s a somewhat quick read and easy to understand. I love the last part of the book where he uses the Jewish framework to interpret Bible passages that are often misunderstood. I’ve been stuck reading Lamb of the Free for months. Great book but very academic!
@Truth_matters20 ““Therefore, O King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision,”
Acts 26:19 ESV
Here Paul implies that he could have disobeyed the heavenly vision.
@sairaf21@Truth_matters20 ““Therefore, O King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision,”
Acts 26:19 ESV
Here Paul implies that he could have been disobedient but chose not to.
Anybody else remember when Paul used his free will to choose God? Me neither.
He would have still been persecuting and killing Christians if God hadn't intervened and graciously opened his eyes.
@StefanMolyneux No, God knows everything but the future is not a thing to be known because it doesn’t exist. No where is the Bible does it say tha God is outside of time. Look into open theism.
