@harriettsbooks I ordered a book that’s been on my Want to Read list all year! Thanks for the opportunity to support by ordering online! https://t.co/fb9UC8Rb0G
I spent some time in Kenya last month. We asked this question as part of our community health assessment at a clinic. Only a few out of hundreds of patients had an answer, which got me thinking that the ability to “silver lining” the pandemic is a privilege I take for granted.
Hi! I’m looking for some guidance on if this proposal to ban pedestrians on traffic medians would be a net positive for our homeless neighbors. I have concerns. Any info or perspective to share? @JoliARobin@JerusalemDemsas - feel free to DM.

I’m looking for a tweet I saw that showed mask efficacy by type of mask and time of exposure. It was a screenshot of a table with cloth, surgical, n95, etc as the labels for rows and columns. Then the cells were time mask is protective if one person is infectious. Any leads?
Here’s our official announcement from @TexasChildrens@BCM_TropMed on our partnership with @biological_e to vaccinate the world beginning with this EUA in India 🇮🇳

Another year, another gingerbread creation! This time it’s an advent calendar.
It’s not epi related but I’ll share it with the #epicookiechallenge community to hopefully brighten up your Twitter feeds!
@AmeliaVanPelt I started a thread in a COVID Facebook group where I post my vax research for others , and i would be happy to add the resources to a doc :)
@JudgeClayJ Do you need an ID to get vaccinated at these pop-ups? Trying to help a neighbor get J&J. She has a SSN but currently no form of gov ID.
@Theresa_Chapple Hi Dr. Chapple! I got to work with Dr. Cunningham briefly as part of the Zika response. He was so kind to me, an MPH intern. I didn’t get to know him in the context of his normal work but could tell he was very smart and loved what he did. Thankful our paths crossed!
Not Epi related, but here’s my gingerbread house. My sister and I started making a house from scratch each year and went a little overboard this time 🤪! We both work in healthcare, so it was a fun distraction #EpiCookieChallenge
I never cared much for superhero movies as a kid, but in middle school I saw Penelope Cruz playing an epidemiologist in Sahara. I went on to get a Masters in Epidemiology. Who knew a movie with a 41 metascore on IMDb would change a life.
I have a message for all the little girls and boys out there who dream of growing up to be superheroes: Superheroes walk among us.
They’re teachers, doctors, scientists, vaccine researchers—and you can grow up to be like them too.
Thankful my organization hosted an open forum in English and Spanish for employees to ask questions about the COVID-19 vaccine and for leaders to share about how COVID and historical unethical medical research have disproportionately impacted Black and other minority communities.
@thesavvymd Similarly, if I’m at a medical practice within my system I try to avoid saying I work in our corporate Patient Experience department. I always get the inevitable “oh are you spying on us” comment. No, just here for a doctor’s appointment 🥴.
