For people finding memecoins only after they already appear on Pumpfun trending..
use Grok to find what the internet is starting to meme before CT turns it into a ticker..
open Grok and use this prompt:
“search public X posts from the last 6 hours.
find new memes, phrases, characters, images or news moments that are spreading across unrelated communities outside crypto.
ignore anything where most posts are already about a token, contract address or chart.
for every result:
- show me links to 5 posts from unrelated accounts
- show the earliest examples you found
- explain why people are spreading it
- tell me if it is growing across different communities or coming from one group
- flag anything that already looks saturated
- give me the exact words i should search on Pumpfun
don’t invent post counts or links. if there isn’t enough evidence, leave it out.”
then search each result on Pumpfun.
if the meme is spreading outside crypto but CT has barely noticed it yet.. start researching the coins attached to it.
if Grok’s evidence is mostly CA replies, KOL posts and chart screenshots, skip it.
this way you’re looking for the meme before everyone starts shilling the ticker.

Most people see a green candle after bonding and treat it as confirmation to buy.
I usually just open @GeckoTerminal and look at the actual structure before doing anything.
Quick workflow I run every time a token starts trading plus what an actual research structure should look like:
1. Paste the contract address in the search tab, not the ticker.
Tickers get reused or spoofed all the time.
Find the primary pool based on real liquidity and volume. (Liquidity should be at least 20% of mcap )
2. Look at three numbers together:
- Liquidity depth, and how it's split between the token and the quote asset
- Volume (1h/6h/24h) relative to that liquidity
- Transaction count and buy/sell ratio over the same windows
If liquidity is thin and volume is high, expect slippage and a rough exit.
What you want to see is liquidity deep enough to absorb some size, volume that isn't just one wallet washing itself, and trade activity that looks like actual people rather than bots.
3. Pool age is another factor there too
A pool that's a few minutes old with big volume needs way more scrutiny than one that's had time to build real flow.
Example: $500k volume in 2 minutes should raise your eyebrows
4. For tokens live on several dexes, example, meteora, raydium and pumpfun can each have its own pool
Best is to follow the 3 checks above and you’ll be fine.

This isn't an audit and it won't tell you if the contract is clean.
What would explain a clean chart is more on chain sleuthing
You’ll just need to check solscan for the first buyers and see what they’ve done with their buys
If they’re transferring to one wallet it means it’s a scam
What it does is stop you from mistaking a fast chart for a healthy market.
If you combine it with the security flags, honeypot checks, GT Score if it's there
Then early coins start to feel less like a gamble and more like something you can actually need to wait for dips for.
Do this consistently on @GeckoTerminal
Pull up any trending pool and run the three checks
It takes under a minute once it becomes routine
