I think it is absolutely wonderful when you see kids break gender stereotypes with toys! It makes you think that we are one step closer to getting rid of gender stereotypes. #MsideGender
Listening to the presentation about Brooklyn nine-nine really makes me wish I would have analyzed the character Boyle in the show. He shows a lot of "feminine" and "masculine" traits that would have been fun to talk about. #MSideGender
Thank you to @princeb_ and her students for making #MSideGender a great follow this semester. Really enjoyed some of the thought-provoking discussion and research shared by everyone.
Alex, Kyra, Sean, and Krista examined gender stereotypes in Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Overall they found that, in season one, Jake displayed more masculine traits than feminine traits, while Amy also displayed more feminine traits than masculine traits. #MSideGender
I'm really disappointed on what happens to Ofglen in the show compared to what happens in the book. I'm really curious on what the thought process was to change her outcome in that way. #MsideGender
Connecting class concepts to the Handmaids Tale is very interesting . It’s crazy how much of today can connect to a book that is “unrealistic” #MsideGender

I'm still reeling from class yesterday. I asked my students their biggest fear in a relationship. They responded "being murdered" or "being hit." Prior years said "someone cheating on them" or "being a chump."
