Primarily operating as the left side of a Double-Pivot, capable of playing a Lone #6 role & an advanced #8 role.

Racking up 3 G/A already this season this shows how trusted he is in this 𝙂𝙖𝙨𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙞 system.

Strong in all areas of the game — Éderson is also asked to operate as a primary destroyer, averaging 2 tackles per game — breaking up play in fast break transition or making line-breaking interceptions to begin attacks by himself, whilst still operating in all-phases of play In & OOP.

Technically Secure, Dynamic #9 — he offers a great amount of energy and physicality off the bench for Aston Villa & Unai Emery — Secure in possession via. a Dribble or Hold up action.

Being (6ft. 1’), his profile is extremely complete, a scary burst of acceleration, paired with his amazing ability to beat his man, already puts him in the category of ‘dangerous players’.

What he offers as the central #9 is extremely intimidating — able to adapt to all situations, whether that is to make a late runs through the half space, pick up the ball between the lines and run at defences, hold up the ball to offer inward channel runs for his teammates, a constant press to force anyone into a mistake etc.

Fantastic Ball-Striker able to generate pure power off both feet, although predominantly being a left footed player. This adding to the endless list of intimidating attributes.

He offers a great amount of energy in the high press or during counter transitions. Meaning he can be an added threat during fast break transition.
