@AlfieHouseEcho I don’t know what McCarthy did to warrant being dropped in the first place to be honest. I’d be fuming if I was him, especially having seen how his teammate performed against QPR. Bazunu’s errors nearly cost Saints the game. IMO the defence doesn’t look comfortable with GB.

Never has anything summed up the journey this club has been on for the last few years more than that. Up one end, Saints miss an open goal to go ahead. Literally seconds later, they pass it straight to the opposition who score the opening goal. 1-0 to Liverpool.

@timosullivan81 Watched a lot of him at Plymouth Argyle, he’s a seriously good player at this level. Argyle looked nowhere near the same team when he wasn’t on the park IMO. Very excited about this move.

@AJPfx_ Whittaker was good last year but has not lived up to those highs this season.

For me his strength is long range shooting. Not sure his passing or defensive work are there. There’s a reason Russell Martin didn’t fancy keeping him at Swansea or later bringing him at Saints 🤷🏼‍♂️

@JustSaints_ The wall is the issue for me. If you’re going to have one man he’s got to be positioned correctly. Lumley did position him but he actually moves and turns his body when the shot comes in… I think a two man wall would have stopped that goal.
