Even better... for many, it's more than 1k. Because if you have to spend 1k on food... you had to earn 1.5k to have that 1k to spend.

A small issue I have hit on for years - everything you buy is actually 30-50% more expensive than the price tag, because it took you that much more to have the after tax money to buy it.

I have an extensive real estate portfolio that spans almost every asset class across multiple states and countries. @SteadCraftUSA is by far the most professional and thorough architecture firm that I’ve ever hired. They are good brothers and their work testifies to their burden to honor the Lord. They also have plenty of happy customers outside “the reformed ghetto”. No one is building a home off concept art/plans from a website. The website is to give general ideas. Each Steadcraft project is highly customized to fit the landscape, region and family economy. I’ve seen firms with better websites but I’ve never seen a firm in action as good as Steadcraft. I hate when companies slap “Christian” on their work and then do slop. That’s not Steadcraft and they are literally the opposite of that. You’re barking up the wrong tree man.

It’s been a chaotic month or so out of my standard routine with the gym, daily reading, etc. Something that I find really useful to re-establish a good rhythm is simplifying everything and returning to the basics. Here’s what that looks like:

- Standard wake up time
- Short run everyday (~2 miles)
- 100 Push-ups
- 50 Pull-ups
- Listen to audio Bible during morning chores / workout
- Family worship at dinner time
- Praying with my kids at bedtime

These are the bare minimums. If these things get done everyday I know that I’m gaining ground.
