Currently there is nothing to farm so majority ppls turned their head to discord. Atleast some projects closed discord (good tho) cuz it's good to disappoint earlier instead of crying on TGE

I'm not saying discord Meta is actually over. There are some projects who actually cares about their own community but finding one is like hitting a 0.1c bet on polymarket

If a project has

lvl based roles - RUN
Too much unnecessary roles - RUN
Top role holders > 100 - RUN

I'm saying this of my own experience

Been seeing a lot of FUD/rage/doomposting about Discords shutting down left and right and where to go next if you want to "farm" roles

I don't have a straight answer to that, but I think it's worth realizing that almost every project still active today falls into one of two categories:

▫️Category #1. A small number of legit projects that are building real products but have deliberately decided to sideline their communities by choosing NOT to reward them

Why? Because their Discords became infested with role farmers who just don't bring any value whatsoever. These farmers don't use the product, don't put a single dime of their own money into it, they are almost entirely focused on gm'ing + chatting nonsense in Discord and posting low effort AI-slop content on X

Pls understand that legit pjs want nothing to do with this type of peeps anymore

▫️Category #2. Unscrupulous projects that are nothing more than vaporware that attract users through carrot-dangling tactics like giving out free OG roles just for entering the Discord server, multi tier role systems, XP grinding for roles, content creation campaigns tied to Discord roles etc

All of this serves one purpose: free promotion. These pjs either don't have a budget for proper marketing or simply don't want to spend money on it so they rely on users to promote them for free in exchange for Discord roles with vague or undefined benefits

Most of the time, there will be no benefits and no sizable rewards because such projects can always defend themselves by saying the classic "we never promised anything" at TGE
