The other thing about Darren Jones. He attempted to cover up his message to Peter Mandelson. He's literally the Minister responsible for ensuring the Government complies with parliament's demand all messages between Mandeslon and Ministers are published.
This is what drives people up the wall with Labour:
a) Every Minister, from Starmer down, mouths the platitude "our priority must be Epstein's victims".
b) Mandelson is forced to resign because of his friendship with Epstein
c) Darren Jones sends Mandelson a sycophantic, fawning message AFTER his relationship with Epstein is fully exposed.
d) Darren Jones literally goes on national television and lies about sending that message.
e) Darren Jones lies are finally exposed themselves.
f) Jones "allies" then start roaming around, briefing the media HE is the victim.
g) Jones carries on in post as if nothing has happened
The most dishonest woman in politics.
She said they would employ 6500 more teachers, there are 1900 fewer.
She is treating the public with total contempt.
@BlytheRoy19783@2230Josh@wesstreeting Judging by this post, I'm amazed you didn't fail the BARB test!
I'm assuming you were discharged during training as being temperamentally unsuitable for service.
🔴 On Mandelson files: The PM texted Peter Mandelson the day before he was officially announced as US ambassador in Dec 24 – according to @spectator reporting in April by @ShippersUnbound – congratulating him on the job.
This message *wasn't* included in Monday's Mandelson files, however, despite other messages between Mandelson and govt ministers of this nature being included.
When asked at lobby briefing today, No10 spox told me it is 'not true' that this message was gathered as part of Cabinet Office evidence for the Humble Address response, as was reported.
When asked whether this was because this message – clearly quoted in piece – was deleted before the Humble Address gathering or wasn't deemed relevant, spox said the PM 'has complied with the humble address' and 'all the messages that he held were passed to the Cabinet Office', adding that the 'guidance is quite clear on what's expected of ministers' and the 'scale of this release shows unprecedented transparency'.
Judging by what other messages were included in the files – e.g. as @STVNews reported on Monday, gushing messages from ex-Scotland Sec Ian Murray and current Scotland Sec Douglas Alexander on Mandelson's appointment – it seems odd that a message of this nature, if retained, wasn't included.
But govt spox seems to be saying its deletion – if it was deleted – was not a breach of the guidance on the Humble Address, which raises questions about what else could have fallen into this category and, ultimately, what else was not included in the Mandelson files.

On 28 April Morgan McSweeney told the Foreign Affairs Select Committee his messages to Peter Mandelson would be published. They haven't been. The cover up is now proven > Daily Mail > https://t.co/AmzPEOCDf4
@Martin_AlmaAzul@DPJHodges Both are inporant.
The country and Warminster are talking about both.
SOME of the public despise politicians and the MSM because they raise inconvenient truths.
This is the key exchange from Morgan McSweeney at the Select Committee. It begins at 1:52:37. As I say, McSweeney couldn't be more clear. He and Mandelson had been communicating via text. Those messages had been retained in some form. They would be published as part of the Humble Address.

Starmer is still running scared from delivering a National Rape Gang Inquiry & the Labour Party is still running away from collecting & publishing the ethnicity, immigration status and the religion of child sexual offenders.
It took over 260,000 members of the public signing a petition to get a debate on this issue in the House today.

@jowilliams293 What are you talking about? The policy wasn’t supposed to improve education or increase tax receipts. The point was to hurt the middle classes by equalising downwards to out of petty envy and spite. It’s been a roaring success.
Adding VAT onto private school fees looks to be one of the worst education policy decisions of recent decades. Forced closure of good schools, disrupted children's education, and likely to cost taxpayers more than will ever be recuperated. Terrible.
Excl: Messages between Peter Mandelson and Nick Thomas-Symonds were missing from today’s disclosures — because the Cabinet minister reported his phone stolen on October 15
