@DrBruceD Depends on whether or not it's worth it. The victims would need a community that gets longterm stalkers/ aggressors wreak havoc in so many ways, and victims need to know that ppl will show grace & understanding victim can't function well while waiting for justice.

@DrBruceD Some victims can't admit it bc it means having to make hard choices. It forces them to decide who they are themselves, and that is scary for antibody.

@DrBruceD 2. A high percentage of victims truly cannot fathom they've been assualted. Sometimes it's an educational issue... they don't understand it takes many forms. It's not just one set formula.

@DrBruceD Well... partly the reason this issue persists is because it's not a concrete answer, unfortunately. It's complex, and on a sliding scale for most ppl.

@DrBruceD (In many cases) reporting it compells the agency to investigate. Once the rapist knows the victim has reported it, aggressor retaliates against the victim in any number of ways and usually *just* under the threshold for legal across to actually keep aggressor behind bars.
