Slept-on Airdrop Opportunity #1: Manta Network

🌟Introduction
Manta Network is a modular L2, leveraging Celestia's data availability and Polygon zkEVM's security.
Manta also offers 'ZK-as-a-Service' for developers.

💰Funding
Manta raised a total of $28.80M, with renowned VC Polychain investing in their Seed round as well as leading their latest Series A round [high conviction].

Valuation: $500M

💎Will there be a token?
Yes, its confirmed in their whitepaper!

$MANTA serves three primary use cases:
• Burn/Redeem Function
• Staking
• Governance

Now onto the interesting part...

🪂How to qualify for a potential airdrop?
Similar to most L2s [Arbitrum, Optimism] you are rewarded for having a deep, recurring on-chain footprint.

Manta does things slightly different; they're also running a Galxe campaign. I recommend participating while suggesting avoiding expensive and time-intensive tasks.

Just to name a few.

Being a recurrent user that generates volume on various dApps likely has a bigger impact than the Galxe campaign, but it could serve as multiplier or filtering system.

👨‍🌾Why should I farm it?
1. Criminally underfarmed.
→ The Galxe Social Tasks have 100k users, while the actual on-chain DeFi tasks have only 20k!
→ Only 18k unique users utilized the official bridge
→ Bridging 0.1 ETH = you're a top 83% user now
→ Only 73k total active wallets

2. Expensive
Despite Manta being an L2, transactions are rather expensive, ranging between $0.30-$0.80. Doing most Galxe tasks will result in at least least $40 burned.

This likely deters/puts off many farmers, which could lead to it being a non-crowded airdrop opportunity.

⚖️Verdict
Unlike LayerZero, zkSync, Scroll etc., I wouldn't suggest going 'all-in' due to high fees, but including Manta in at least some of your farming routes and transacting on the chain 2-3 times per month presents a rather asymmetric bet.

@mintdotfun with all due respect… it’s only right that you at least address and respond to your community who have been LOYAL and COMMITTED.

I had just achieved DIAMOND status with over 55,000+ points and minted consistently for the past 90 days.

After minting several tonight I went to check my stats and was shocked to only see 640 points total!! 😱

I’m just now seeing this post and a few things are not adding up…

1. POINTS: I did see the “NFT is potentially malicious or spam” warning on occasion but I never once minted any of those NFTs so how could I have lost almost all my points?? 🤔

2. MINT STREAK: In reviewing my profile it’s clear I’ve minted 90+ days (see attachment) so why is the points tracker only showing a 7-Day Mint Streak now?? ☹️

3. GAS FEES: Personally I was very focused on achieving Diamond status and consistently minted Every Single Day for months so now that I've been stripped of that... uh what about all the Gas Fees $$$?

I love the platform and took such pride in achieving the Diamond level so as you could imagine I’m extremely disappointed to say the least but hopeful the TEAM will come thru and make things right 🙏
