Had to get a new keyboard + mouse after my Microsoft ergonomic keyboard failed me and MS stopped producing them
Got the Logitech Ergo K860 and MX vertical and super happy with it!
Trying out focus tools in Windows and the Pomodoro timer.
I start the timer, what I'm listening to stops playing and instead it starts randomly playing this ๐...
I'm not going to break anything, I promise
Working through a coaching course and seeing a question to reflect:
"What distracts you?"
Everything distracts me, my own thoughts about the thing that is being said right now is distracting me. The myriad of other nonsense swirling around in here, take your pick. ๐
Our bougie ass cat, who has for a few years now, almost exclusively, only drinks water when it is in a human glass ๐ .
We thought it would be cute once... she now expects it and judges you accordingly if it's not there or full enough.
I see some people grow online then that presence turning into clickbaity/AI generated tweets/posts for engagement, almost like they HAVE to post something a few times a day, just feels like something is wrong there.
Nothing new, but just makes the content seem disingenuous.
I can only imagine that if I was responsible for IC's individually, how my team is performing, ensuring partnerships with other teams etc, then coding on top, I'd very quickly run out of energy.
Started an Aspiring Managers program at Microsoft, aiming to give insights and prepare those who are thinking about moving to an EM role.
One thing I consistently hear is that EM's who try to code quickly find out they can't do both.
For me this makes a lot of sense, by all means be involved in discussions, contribute at a high level where you can but it never seemed like that scaled well and I feel is responsible for people getting burnt out.
