@Katelynjontel I learned the hard way, pun intended, that a lovely side effect of pregnancy for me was constipation. It just never went back to normal after, like my shoe size. Years later, I learned there's a "defecation technique" to help. Basically a seated (toilet) position that helps
@iamSivN Aw, gone are the days where we could ask people if they can chew gum, talk, and walk at the same time to understand if they have developed basic cognitive function. Now we just come online and somehow John thinks it's impossible to tackle multiple issues simultaneously. Shame.
@RandomNumbersAB@iamSivN Somehow you have the stats of the murders, but are assuming you're 100% right because you saw a picture of a headline? Sure dude
@Tessa_Dooms It's becoming increasingly depressing to live through a time when we have the most access to information and a time in which ideologically-driven politics have successfully reduced our critical thinking skills to a figment of the imagination
For the first time, it seems, she is able to tell the story of what the workplace was/is to a forum that will listen , believe, and act on it. Hasn't had that before. I would be overwhelmed but pleased. She showed that ethical, principled decisions should be the hill you die on.
@Tessa_Dooms I just don't understand the argument. I've been debating this within my circle for years. Every time I say I won't vote DA as a Capetonian, I get the "look at other provinces" answer. My values and personal beliefs just can't reconcile with what they repeatedly show us they are
@luphumlongcayis I want to update my will stating that if anyone named as a beneficiary has generated one of those to memorialise me, they should be removed as a beneficiary & and all assets they own be seized by the sheriff of the court.
When people tell you to document everything in a toxic or potentially-toxic work environment, there's a reason for that. Just look at what documentation is doing for today's witness. She's prepared to defend her career and personal integrity against unethical behaviour. #madlanga
@NoozBebe_ My aunt who makes sure everyone eats more than any human should, because "what will people say" if they didn't have enough. My father-in-law is busy non-stop, just supervising and coordinating his children serving drinks or tea.
There's always one who must make tea for everyone.
@NyaNyaBulemba@NoozBebe_ My one grandfather did this. No matter the occasion, or just a friend coming home from school. If you wanted to spend time with friends, don't EVER tell him what their surname is. Your friend is now his friend and will know where their family was when van riebeek arrived.
