✨Proud District Nurse & Queen's Nurse✨ Former Lead - Community Nursing and Urgent Care Response Services Your Healthcare CIC. Current clinical role @PAHospice
@TheQNI@CrystalOldman@johnunsworth10 Your leadership and vision has benefitted nurses and patient care in so many homes & communities. You put community nursing on the map! You told us we had a voice & then provided opportunities for us to use it. What a legacy you leave! From the bottom of my heart: Thank you💜💕💜
Matt, essential. safe , expertise and will deliver quality care for the person and family bringing a team together and of course also makes economic sense
@RoyLilley What about the senior clinical leaders who are asked to do a lot of this while also delivering all the leadership responsibilities for their clinical services?
@stephlawrence5 @CrystalOldman@NPAGUK@TheQNI @PaulNVaughan @AcosiaNyanin @Duncan_CNO Something I feel very passionately about @stephlawrence5 but we also need to change the persisting narrative of ‘the district nurses’ Still heard all too frequently from system partners - makes it very challenging to get the advanced practice skillset fully understood!
@alisonleary1@protectnurse Congratulations Alison. One of the most influential and inspiring voices we have in our corner, championing the safety critical work of nursing - and particularly community nursing. Thank you for everything you have done- can’t wait to see what more can be achieved 👏👏👏🩷💜
Essential, anticipatory and preventative care, supporting admission avoidance….in many ways still remains invisible, unrecognised and poorly understood!
Community Health Services play a key role in our health and care system. They keep people well at home, in the community, and support people to live independently.
This timeline shows the highlights of community health services spanning 3 centuries.

@PaulaMc007 Tier 2 training is available but dependent on role. I redid the tier 1 training after retiring earlier this year but still continuing to work in healthcare in a different environment and took advantage of the opportunity to repeat this during induction. Wishing you well Paula.
@stephlawrence5 @alisonleary1 Completely agree @stephlawrence5 I saw first hand the impact and the trauma experienced by our community nursing teams who continued to provide face to face care in people’s homes while also supporting care home staff in the worst of circumstances!!
Congratulations to @_naomiiii_ and @HannahDarling95 who have both been awarded the title of @TheQNI Queen’s Nurse. Truly very well deserved 👏👏👏Inspirational and outstanding community nurses! So proud of you both 💜🩷!
