Deputy Sheriff Randy Hoppert, 35, a Navy veteran and Tulare County deputy, was killed in the line of duty on April 9, 2026, while responding to assist fellow deputies under fire.

On March 21, 2026, while on duty, Officer Guillermo received the devastating news that his home had caught fire. Thankfully, he was told that his family was safe, but they have lost the ability to live in their home and many of their belongings.

Lt. Brian Avera lived a life of service as a Marine, @SanDiegoPD Lieutenant, and leader within the law enforcement community.

After a courageous battle with cancer, he leaves behind his wife and two young children.

Covina Police Officer Jesse Gutierrez was involved in a traffic collision during a pursuit on May 6, 2024, where he sustained serious injuries. He is in ICU with his wife by his side.

Jesse is the father of two boys (ages 5 and 1), a Covina High School graduate, a U.S. Marine veteran, a newly appointed K9 handler, and the sole provider for his family. He has devoted his life to serving our country and community.
