Timely action is critical to protect children facing malnutrition & disease outbreaks.
In Karamoja, support to @UNICEFUganda through the ESA Humanitarian Fund, managed by @OCHAFunds is helping strengthen early detection of malnutrition & access to life-saving response.
As we commemorate Uganda Martyrs' Day, we honour the faith, courage, and sacrifice of the Uganda Martyrs whose legacy continues to inspire generations.
Happy Uganda Martyrs' Day.

Parenting is a journey filled with love, challenges, sacrifices, and endless learning. Yet many parents and caregivers are expected to navigate this journey with little support.
This #ParentingMonth, let's recognize that supporting parents is one of the most effective ways to help children thrive.
When caregivers are empowered, children are more likely to grow, learn, and reach their full potential.

Today is #GlobalDayOfParents
This year's theme, "Together for Parents", couldn't ring more true. No parent or caregiver should have to do it alone.
We walk with parents, building knowledge, skills & community through our Family Basic Education (FABE) model.
To every parent: we see you. Thank you.

Menstrual health is about dignity, equality, and opportunity. At the #MHMDay2026, the UN family, represented by Dr Robin Nandy, reaffirmed that no girl should miss school or feel excluded because of her period. Investing in menstrual health means investing in Ugandaโs future.
โMenstrual health is not complete without safe and responsible disposal of menstrual waste.โ
โTrue menstrual dignity means safe access, safe use, and safe disposal.โ

โMenstrual hygiene is not just a health issue, but an education, dignity, and equality issue affecting thousands of girls across Uganda.โ

Menstrual health is an education issue.
Menstrual health is a gender equality issue.
Menstrual health is a shared responsibility.
Today, we join the rest of the world, and our partners at the 2026 International Meanstrual Health and Hygiene (MHH) Day National Conference in Kampala, to say: no learner should be left behind because of their period.

LABE Uganda on Friday conducted media training for West Nile journalists to effectively report on Early Childhood Development and Education, which is part of their FABE programme implemented in the region.

Storytelling is one of the most powerful tools in the ECD advocacy toolkit, and last week, @LABE_UG took a deliberate step to strengthen it.
In partnership with @MovingMindsECD through their Reporters for Early Age Children in Humanitarian Crisis (REACH) Network, we brought together radio, print, TV, and digital journalists from across West Nile in Arua to ask a hard question: why are the youngest children in crisis-affected communities so rarely in the news; and what does it take to amplify their stories in mainstream media?
The day was spent building the knowledge, confidence, and connections journalists need to cover early childhood development with depth and care, and put ECD firmly on the media agenda.

Policy becomes meaningful when people can see it, experience it, and connect with it.
At the National ECCE Exposition, NECDA members transformed ideas into practical demonstrations of what quality early childhood development looks like in action.
Our ED @DjembaMicheal commended the the launch of Ugandaโs ECCE Policy (2025), describing it as an important step toward strengthening the countryโs long-term human capital agenda.
The policy aligns with and reinforces our work within communities to advance stronger societies.
