With funding increases of less than 1/2 of rising costs, hospitals everywhere are forced to cut. A vital service being deliberately eviscerated.

Ford government won't release hospitals' cost-cutting plans, citing economic harm https://t.co/BH1kv86dON via @Thetrilliumca

[Tom Whittaker @whittakertp]

So the Premier took an OPP plane away from critical duties during an emergency to fly to Windsor for an announcement and then back to Toronto so he could attend a fundraiser tomorrow morning. Those are his priorities folks.

[Marit Stiles @MaritStiles]

People are done with a corrupt Premier who says no to tackling affordability and yes to himself and his insiders. Ontario is ready for change.

[Marit Stiles @MaritStiles]

Doug Ford sat in the legislature for 29 days this year.

He was on time seven times. We hold grade fives to a higher standard.

His priorities? Buying himself a luxury jet. Hiding his phone records. Cutting OSAP. Taking over the Toronto Islands.

My priorities? Scrapping the tax on groceries. Saving OSAP. Making life more affordable.

[Marit Stiles @MaritStiles]

Torontonians aren’t asking for a runway on the lake so Bay Street CEOs can land their private jets. They’re asking for better health care, smaller class sizes, and safer highways in Northern Ontario. Those are the priorities that matter.

I’m sick & tired of seeing people walking their dogs in the intense or leaving them in cars. Temperature will exceed 30 degrees by Monday & dogs will suffer & die because of ignorance & stupidity. Please look after them enduring this heatwave it can be a killer for our precious companions

[Raghu Venugopal MD @raghu_venugopal]

My patient stuck in ER for 4 days with no hospital bed to accept them is more important than:
-landing more jets in Toronto
-an Austrian spa
-a new Science Center
-a new jet
-rebate cheques before an election
-accelerated expanded alcohol sales

[Dark Brian Fella: It's Слава time. 🇨🇦🇺🇦👊 @The_Brian_Life]

Let me explain something. Our provinces receive billions of dollars of transfers from the Feds to cover healthcare costs. When 75% of hospitals are running deficits, this is because the funding is not being properly directed to the hospitals. The Province is solely at fault here.

[Doug Ford is Corrupt @itiswhatitis900]

When Dalton McGuinty was Premier Liberal staff went to jail over deleting emails.

Conservatives and @fordnation show zero respect for the law, completely ignore the law, and then rewrite the law to protect themselves.

Doug Ford is CORRUPT

#BREAKING: Doug Ford was in such a rush to hide his phone records that his Freedom of Information changes quietly received royal assent this morning, on a Friday, with the Legislature not even sitting.

I have sent urgent letters to:

1. The Secretary of Cabinet
2. The RCMP
3. Ontario's Information and Privacy Commissioner

Each is being asked to act immediately to safeguard evidence related to the Greenbelt scandal before this government can destroy it.

As Premier, I will reverse these changes and restore transparency, trust, and faith in our democracy.

[Tyler Watt 🇨🇦 @tylerwatt]

Doug Ford went to court to keep his personal phone - the one he uses for government business - hidden from the public.

He lost.

So now he’s changing the law to dodge the ruling.

That’s not leadership. That’s rewriting the rules to protect yourself from accountability.

What’s on that phone, Doug? Another Greenbelt giveaway? Another Ontario Place deal? Another gravy plane?

Ontarians deserve answers - not cover-ups. Enough is enough. #onpoli

Dear @fordnation ,

Idea:
How about using the funds to buy Ontarians 15 new MRI machines instead?

Signed.

Local man tells post-secondary students money doesn't grow on trees and then picks private jet from private jet tree.

[Marit Stiles @MaritStiles]

Ford ran on a promise to stop the gravy train. Then he spent $30M of your money on his gravy plane.

He should be flying economy like the rest of us.

[Marit Stiles @MaritStiles]

Ending hallway health care and longer wait times is simple: hire the staff to do it.

To keep up with the rest of the country, we would need to hire 48,000 more hospital staff.

Instead, this government is laying off healthcare workers with 1,000 jobs are being eliminated in hospitals in North Bay, Hamilton, London, Ottawa, Niagara and the GTA.

Is this a record they’re proud of?

[Tyler Watt 🇨🇦 @tylerwatt]

By the way, Premier Doug Ford and the Finance Minister have not been present at Queen’s Park for question period since they tabled their pretending to “Protect Ontario” budget. #onpoli

[Tyler Watt 🇨🇦 @tylerwatt]

All aboard the gravy train!

$8.1 million for 50 staff in Premier Ford's office - all while Ontarians are being told to tighten their belts.

That's up 11% in a year. Staffing tripled since 2018.

This isn’t fiscal responsibility. It’s hypocrisy. #onpoli

In addition to Doug Ford's staff seeing an 11% increase in salaries, Doug Ford's daughter Kara Ford has seen a 65% salary bump since 2022, including a 34% raise last year at Runnymede Healthcare Centre. She is now the 6th highest paid person in THE ENTIRE HOSPITAL.
