Close the shades. Hide the children. Clear out the sports bars. It's San Pedro at Carson on Friday night for the Marine League championship in football.
Want to give a special shoutout to @LACitySection for coming out to the Palisades last night, braving the heat, and covering some great football last night.
Most important thing is supporting one another in the LA City, spreading the word on incredible student athletes and recognizing their hard work on and off the gridiron. Much love to the Jay and his team for their hard work, dedication in their mission and what they do for our kids. More than just reporting!

RECRUITING: The City Section has produced some highly touted EDGE recruits in recent years.
- ‘25 4 ⭐️ Chinedu Onyeagoro (King/Drew) commited to SMU out of HS.
- ‘26 3 ⭐️ Andrew Williams (Fremont) commited to, and is currently at, USC.
- ‘27 4 ⭐️ Cal Commit Elyjah Staples (Marquez) bursted onto the recruiting scene as an EDGE
- ‘28 Kingston Sula (Carson) already holds a Division I offer from Cal and is poised to make a major splash on the recruiting scene this summer.
Not bad for a section that doesn’t have or produce talent. #CitySection
EXPOSITION LEAGUE: Jefferson lost 41-27 to Brentwood School. Encouraging results for the Democrats as they hung with a Southern Section Program for most of the game. Despite the loss, Jefferson remains the favorite to capture the Exposition League title this season.
