This clown, Dr S.D. Jamwa was then the DGP of Ladakh. If he has any human face left, he should apologise to the people of Ladakh, especially Sonam Wangchuk.
Simply, the question is, where is the 'Pakistani PIO ' whom he had claimed to have arrested?

FEAR IS NOT PEACE
The #GovernmentOfIndia’s appointees #SGI and #ASGI have been claiming in the #SupremeCourtofIndia that #Ladakh is “peaceful” after @Wangchuk66’s detention. This cannot be farther from the Truth.
First of all, it is a Logical Fallacy: Correlation ≠ Causation.
Secondly, it was not Peace that followed- it was dread that was cultivated: curfew and internet blackout was enforced for weeks after Sept 24, 100+ youth jailed for months (some still inside), 4 young men shot dead heartlessly under Government orders by CRPF, social media posts attract police summons and hours of interrogation till date.
The dreaded silence of the graveyard is not equal to sacred peace of the temple that Ladakh was known for!

The #SGI has been denying any health issues with @Wangchuk66—despite his stomach illness from unsafe water since day one in Jodhpur jail.
Simple solution: make all government officials and politicians drink tap water wherever they are posted. Watch water quality fix itself. Take inspiration from Puri, Odisha that has made tap water potable.
Extend the logic—make all utilities they run- govt schools, govt hospitals, govt services mandatory for them to use, wouldn’t standards improve?
Accountability tastes better when you have to drink it!!

When I met @Wangchuk66 yesterday he said that Winter is over-All is Well Now!
“Now that the winter is over I’m telling you that this was the coldest winter in my life. People say, but you are from #Ladakh. Yes, but in Ladakh we have good preparations. Our passive solar heated houses stay at +18 deg C, others heat with bukharis. I have done hunger strikes outdoor in -25 deg C; I have even been to Antartica. And for that we are prepared. But this was the coldest experience in bed at night so far. Here it was +6 deg C outside and +6 deg C indoors. My big hall cell of cement and stone has 10 windows with only iron bars, no shutters. When strong winds blow the real feel temperature is around 2 deg C (with wind chill effect). It’s exactly like sleeping under a bridge in Delhi. And in jail there is no concept of bed or mattress or pillow-only blankets on cold concrete floor- they were kind to give extra blankets, but nothing to stop the winds from all the window openings.
But imagine-the borewell water running in pipes outside my door is at 25 deg C - a free resource - hence i wanted to design a no cost, zero carbon floor-hearing system using this water - that would also serve as a cooling system in hot summers for all the barracks in all the prisons across India. I hope I will get support and simple instruments like the thermometers from the jail authorities or permission from court to work on this innovation!”

Today I witnessed something deeply disturbing near Singey Namgyal Chowk - two army personnel urinating on puppies. Yes, you read that right. I didn’t capture it on camera because frankly, it was too embarrassing and disturbing to document. Some moments are so shocking that your first instinct is disbelief, not documentation.
We’re told they protect our nation, and I have immense respect for that service. But protection shouldn’t be selective. Environmental security IS national security. Our ecosystem, our animals, our shared spaces - they’re all part of what makes our nation worth protecting.
I confronted them about their callous behavior. How can someone be so insensitive to helpless living beings? The uniform you wear represents values - discipline, honor, responsibility. It doesn’t give anyone the right to abuse creatures who can’t defend themselves.
This isn’t about one incident. It’s about the mindset that treats our environment and fellow living beings as disposable. Whether you’re in uniform or not, basic humanity and environmental consciousness aren’t optional. We cannot claim to protect our nation while destroying the very life within it.
To anyone reading this: speak up when you see cruelty. Our silence enables it. Real strength includes compassion, not just power.

#day69 After all the hurt and bitter news since 24th September, yesterday felt like a tiny breath of relief. Nevertheless the struggle must go on to the end
Wishing next year brings new life, healing, and good news for Ladakh. #justiceforladakh

Met @Wangchuk66 at Jodhpur today! Gave him the children’s Encyclopedia that he had requested for! He thanks everyone for their support and shares this song of optimism to not lose hope:

रात भर का है मेहमान अंधेरा
किस के रोके रूका है सवेरा
रात जितनी भी संगीन होगी
सुबह उतनी ही रंगीन होगी
@Wangchuk66 receiving the CNN-IBN Real Heroes award in 2008. Watch his endearing speech that in turn touched many a heart.
He speaks of Shiksha becoming a means of true Suraksha!
His patriotism goes beyond shallow jingoism to embrace humanity: Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam!
