The Euroleague is fantastic and I would love to see more games with them and NBA teams. NBA top caliber teams are still far and away better than top level Euroleague teams. But the gap is closing, and the games are worth pursuing now IMO.
Luka said it's harder to score in the EuroLeague.
Jokic said it's tougher to play in Europe and every NBA player should play 6 months there to see the pressure.
Y'all laughed at them, but they are right.
Fun fact: in 2010 the NBA champ Lakers played the Euro champ Barcelona and LOST 88-92. The NBA has since slowly stopped having NBA teams play Euro teams because they didn’t want everyone to see the NBA product isn’t extremely superior like they claim.
Cope how you want, but the NBA champs really need to stop calling themselves the world champs unless we have a tourney with the Euro teams✌️
About 10 years ago, I read The Carolina Way and there’s one passage I still think about to this day.
A former UNC player described how Dean Smith would sometimes stop practice and make a big production out of praising one player for doing something exactly right.
That always stuck with me.
We as coaches are usually very comfortable doing that when something goes wrong. We stop practice. Correct it. Explain it. Make sure everyone sees it. Magnify the unacceptable.
But when a player does exactly what we’ve been trying to teach?
Sometimes they just get a “good job” and we move on.
I wrote about why I think that’s a missed opportunity and why the answer isn’t necessarily more praise, but better use of it.

If we’re going to build suburbs, let’s build them like this!
Brabazon on the outskirts of Bristol has a density of 75 homes per hectare, triple the usual. It was originally planned for 2,000 homes but will now see 6,500 built
There’s start up offices, parks, trees, a lake…
I don't know if what she is wearing is appropriate or not...but the fact that clothes are being discussed seriously as an issue in Courts is like rearranging the deck chairs while the titanic sunk. No Court should be taken seriously in its current state. It's all a joke.
It’s inappropriate because it’s sleeveless… she’s trying to look hot instead of professional… I feel like if you’re a lawyer and you’re accustomed to being in court you know that “professional”=a blazer? The dress code is “conservative.” Having bare shoulders in court is a no no. Like. You wouldn’t wear open-toed shoes to court either.
Alsooooo everyone can tell when young women post photos of themselves online claiming “sexism” when what they really want are compliments and attention… She wants men to tell her the judge is just jealous.
Lame, unprofessional, and transparent.
As a young lawyer, shortly after leaving my fancy Dallas firm and opening my own practice in South Houston, an ASSOCIATE Harris County Family Court Judge dressed me down in front of my client and opposing counsel in the middle of a hearing because the top button of my shirt had come undone under my tie because of my thick neck. His goal was to embarrass me because he was friends with opposing attorney. He just made me mad. Some judges are assholes. But a judge picking on Maria, a young attorney and young mother who went to law school while working full time as a noted San Antonio television journalist, because she didn’t like her dress is just ridiculous. There are too many awful people in robes nowadays.
POV: It's 2003, and you've got the whole evening ahead of you.
AIM is open, Winamp is playing your favorite songs, and there's a stack of burned CDs on your desk.
Homework can wait. You're just hoping that one person signs on so you can talk for hours.
We didn't know it then, but those ordinary nights would become some of our favorite memories.
they used to draft 20 year olds into the air force and let them whip these things around europe like pod racers. and now you log into microsoft teams and thumbs up tickets while you ask codex to push updates to dashboards that provide actionable business insights
"why dont they make movies like this anymore" because akira kurosawa just killed that extra. hes dead. Akira Kurosawa killed over 12,000 people in his career as director. murder was outlawed in japan only in 1981
Throwing it all the way back to 1987, when Rick Pitino was at Providence breaking down his meticulous preparation for a matchup against Villanova.
Five minutes of pure basketball knowledge—and absolutely worth the watch.
This is Rick Pitino excellence on full display.

I see many kids working out like a PRO when theres no need for it right now. Hella dribbles, hella isolation stuff like your Luka or James harden at the top of the key. Aint nobody playing like that. Work on catch & shoot. Catch & drive. Catch & pass & get it back. It TRANSLATES!
I'd have to look at the map, but there's a pretty big chance that Freddy just zoomed over the location of one of the most infamous crimes in American history.
Was also born and raised here. PHX absolutely sucks now. Only because it is completely overpopulated. Every piece of infrastructure is bursting at the seems..every road is in a constant state of construction. There is rush hour traffic on Saturday.I don't know who to blame.
“PhOeNiX sUcKs NoW.”
Evidence: “Trust me, bro.”
Sit your transplant ass down.
I was born and raised here, so I’m old enough to remember that Republicans have controlled the state house and senate since the 1990s.
Exactly what “woke” legislation did Hobbs pass that has your panties in a bunch?
Hobbs is a moderate, but it doesn’t matter when anything she wants passed has to go through a dysfunctional GOP controlled Legislature that wont work with her.
I’m not taking political advice from a failed, appointed school board member who couldn’t work with his colleagues, lost public support immediately, and resigned in disgrace before the board could decide whether to censure him.
Humor is the best way to deal with trauma. I was 13 that day and my life and the lives of everyone around me has never been the same. There is a clear before and after. Every year that line gets more glaring.
millenials poked fun at 9/11 for 20 years. a natural response to a tragedy too absurd to comprehend. but approaching middle age, rememberance has become solemn, marking a new founding myth for america, the moment we entered dark times, a path out of which has yet to become clear.
Twenty-five years later, what strikes me most is that we didn’t know we were living in the “before.” I remember that morning as if it were yesterday, but looking back now, I find myself strangely homesick, not only for the New York we knew, but for the America we were. We lost so much more that day than we could possibly have understood at the time.
A friend once described 9/11 as America’s series finale, and that’s exactly what it felt like then and even more now.
A lot of you younger folks don’t quite understand how different the country was
