Today marks the beginning of my 37th year as a Los Angeles police officer. One of the most powerful influences in life is consistency. I have dedicated the majority of my adult life to serving and protecting the people of Los Angeles. I feel fortunate & proud to continue this journey alongside the men & women in our department, our city, & our community. They are among the best at what they do! It is an honor to lead, inspire, & make a difference every day alongside the greatest police officers in our nation.

🔵🔵Last night, a man w/out a tap card was stopped for drinking 🍺 at 7th/Metro. Before he could grab his waist, officers handcuffed the suspect. Ofcr’s then recovered his loaded pistol from his waistband.

Today marks 35 years of service with the LAPD🚔and counting! Combining my tour as a U.S. Marine🪖 equals over 40 years of public service. But there is still work to be done. I am blessed to continue to lead the men and women of the finest Police Department in the world. I take great pride knowing management is a position that is granted but leadership is a status that is earned!

Overnight the OCB Heavy Metal Task Force arrested 4 suspects for copper wire theft in #DTLA. Susps used a stolen van & professional tools to remove the copper wire from a business. All have prior theft arrests. @lapdhq @kdeleoncd14 @LAPDCentral

Great work by LAPD Transit Services Division & Air Support, working as a team to arrest two suspects for stealing copper wire from the A line near the Vernon Station.

LAPD arrested a woman for the stabbing of another woman at a South LA bus stop. The suspect was allegedly armed with a knife and accompanied by a young child. Quick work by LAPD officers in making an arrest and by a METRO bus driver for getting the victim medical attention.

Last week, we got a call of suspects removing copper wire from the A line near Vernon Station. Thanks to the 🚁 officers were directed in to where the suspects ran.

3 years ago today, we lost a hero. Officer Jose Anzora dedicated his life to protecting and serving his community, and his bravery knew no bounds. Today, we gather to honor his memory, surrounded by friends, family, and fellow officers who stood alongside him in service. #lapd
