Proceeds benefit officers and their immediate family members, who have experienced unforeseen catastrophic circumstances, including death, illness and injury.
We stand with our brothers and sisters at the @LASDHQ tonight. The thoughts and prayers of the men and women of the LAPD, are with the two deputies that were ambushed while sitting in their vehicle earlier this evening.
Tonight we pray for these two guardians to survive. I recognize and acknowledge we live in troubled times. But we must as a community work thru our differences while loudly and resoundly condemn violence. Blessed are the Peacemakers.
Today we as a city, country, and world celebrate the life of Kobe Bryant. The story of Los Angeles cannot be told without Kobe—a son, a husband, a father whose legacy of determination, uncompromised work ethic, & perseverance will forever be intertwined in the fabric of our city.
The prayers of the men and women of the LAPD are with the family of @JerseyCity PD Detective Joseph Seals, a married father of five—as well as the family and friends of three other civilians— that were killed during yet another tragic act of gun violence in Jersey City today.
Thank you Tiffany. Reposted from @tiffnymichelle (@get_regrann) - I attend a bevy of charity #poker events, but I have to say that I was greatly moved at this week’s LAPD Memorial Foundation fundraiser benefitting… https://t.co/y12s9Omc19
Today was a day the LAPD & Los Angeles will collectively carry for years to come. As we paid final tribute to young man that lived & breathed public service, let us never forget his sacrifice, nor his passion for serving the city he loved—Rest easy brother until we see you again.
Today we announced formal charges that have been brought forward against those responsible for the murder of Ofcr Juan Diaz. This organization worked 24/7 to search & find these killers, & made sure we did so in a manner that would bring honor to Ofcr Diaz. Proud of our people.
Through due diligence and a penchant for justice, we have moved one step closer to bringing justice to fallen LAPD Officer Juan Diaz and his family. We continue to offer prayers and condolences to his family during this unimaginably difficult time.
A weekend trip to the mall should not end in bloodshed. Our hearts go out to the El Paso community, who are dealing with this senseless violence, and the aftermath of a horrific shooting. The LAPD is monitoring the situation and communicating with our law enforcement partners.
Hours after the tragedy in El Paso, we’re now faced with another horrific mass shooting in Dayton, Ohio. We cannot become numb to this senseless gun violence. As we mourn with our nation, we also continue to work, communicating & learning details from our law enforcement partners
For the 3rd time in 10 days LAPD officers encountered gunfire as they responded to a call for service. Thankfully, neither of the two @LAPDSoutheast officers were injured. We will be undeterred in our relentless pursuit to keep Los Angeles safe.
A moment of solace and time for reflection. We stand at our nations capital today for the 209 heroes that gave their lives keeping Los Angeles safe, and the thousands that have—without hesitation—made the ultimate sacrifice protecting communities around our country.
