4/ The goal: make it easier to go from raw AmericasBarometer data to consistent, design-effects-aware results and clear visualizations.

If you work on public opinion or survey research in Latin America, we’d love your feedback on what’s useful—and what’s missing.

[LAPOP Lab @LAPOP_Lab]

1/ If you work with #AmericasBarometer data in R, you’ve probably rebuilt the same workflow over & over: labels, weights, rescaling, plots, exports.

We built the lapop R package to make these workflows faster, cleaner, & reproducible.

Now on CRAN: install.packages("lapop") 🧵

3/ The lapop_ functions* handle visualization:
– Cross-country comparisons
– Time series
– Coefficient plots
– Americas maps & dumbbells
– Exporting publication-ready graphics
