Another highlight (not in main video) of Bill Conti’s visit: when we told him how Emil contacted us the first time to be the ambassadors of his renowned film percussion collection. 😌
Highlight 1 of Bill Conti’s visit to the instrument warehouse:
What are some of the logistics when the question comes up about a percussion sound during a scoring session?
More coming! And main video of his visit is in the comments. ☺️
Composer Bill Conti visited the instrument warehouse (heard the music from Rocky? He wrote that 🥊 )
We had a great hang and wanted to share some of our highlights from his visit:

Now can share some behind-the-scenes pics from the filming of “Let there be Drums,” partially at our warehouse in 2019. We appear pretty early on in the film, and woven throughout. Matt Sorum was featured speaking and playing, & percussionist Scott Breadman made some B-roll. 😊
A group of composers from Riot Games came by, and we dug into some timbral possibilities on a wide variety of instruments here. Thank you for joining us @riotgamesmusic 😊
We had Bill Conti (Rocky and Karate Kid composer) visit 😊. Abby, LAPR co-owner asked him what he thought Emil Richards’ influence was in film music. Here’s what he said. More of his visit coming!
Unleashing the backline. We provided backline for Stewart Copeland’s @copelandmusic Police Deranged concert. Here’s the journey of one of our bass rigs on this gig. And like our perc, our backline gets TLC. 🥰
Aurélien Gignoux jamming on nabimba, piano guts, and gong drum while visiting SoCal with Ensemble intercontemporain. He came to the warehouse to check out performance instruments we’d be providing and there was some collateral exploration. 😆 #percussion#aureliengignoux
Just a snippet of BTS logistics - getting Partch to South Korea! Rock-it Cargo definitely picks up where we leave off. https://t.co/sSrT3vls9O via @YouTube
Encanto Live is on Disney+, & production staff told us it was the largest production they’ve worked on at the Hollywood Bowl. So many mediums & logistics! We provided lots of backline and percussion, but it seems like a tiny part considering the magnitude of what went into this.
