Check it! I’m excited for two reasons. It provides me the opportunity to respect my Black prophetic intellectual lineage. & Dr. West, though cracked-vessel, as he says, models what the deep love of wisdom & Black community can do to shape what we call a vocation. Calling.

Recently met Oscar at Duke Divinity school who took me into the biles and educated me on art and on Duke’s architecture. He's very proud of Dr. @LukeAPowery And it spoke a lot to me. I heard there's a film about Oscar. We should watch it as one of the observances of BHM.
My soul is tired. And I agree with my friend Biko that we move forward more in circular fashion than linearly. And it’s the cyclical nature of moving forward that can wear one out. But happy “We Made It” anyway! Cause you did! And it’s been a lot. Be well, friends.
Got boosted today. Cause the rate of Omicron— 3 to 4 times as infectious as Delta even — makes it seem inevitable we all gone get caught up given how horrible we are vis-à-vis the pandemic and how there’s such economic fleecing going on for tests.

Meet Contemporary Artists’ Education (CAE) collaborator, @mattmanalo, artist and community organizer who discusses his experiences navigating social structures by exploring issues of erasure, colorism, & colonial mentality. Our thanks to @LARArtStudio for this important project!
