Each child at Legacy Academy for Children receives focused, one-on-one attention and plenty of time with their peers to develop social skills and to learn how a classroom works.
Communication with parents is a top priority at Legacy for Children. In addition to our newsletter, lesson plans and announcements will be on display and provided to you on a regular basis to keep you informed about your child’s learning environment.

We know we talk about it a lot, but our teachers are the best! They invest themselves in the students, in their care, and in themselves through ongoing training. At Legacy Academy for children, every day is Teacher Appreciation Day.
How do you help children develop healthy eating habits that last a lifetime? At Legacy Academy, children learn about the importance of good nutrition as we model healthy eating in our family style dining area.
Siblings are an important part of what makes us who we are. At Legacy Academy, we have the honor of caring for multiple members of the same family. With more than 20 years in the industry, we are even starting to care for multiple generations!
Large group time at Legacy Academy is a great time for children to shine. They learn and practice important social skills like taking turns, listening to others, and expressing themselves to others. Plan a visit and watch the learning in action.
What is it about kids and dinosaurs? At Legacy Academy for Children, we build on children’s natural curiosity to encourage a love for science and exploration. Call us today to learn more about our copyrighted curriculum Framework for their Future.
Where do great ideas come from? You might be surprised to learn that experts say “downtime” spent in free play allows the mind to think in new ways. The brain needs “idle” time so that one idea can lead to another.
Every day at Legacy's across the Southeast and Texas, caring, experienced teachers give themselves to nurturing children who will one day be leaders of our communities. It is a high honor & we celebrate their passion for & dedication to the children entrusted into our care.
Throughout each day, we passionately care for the unique, inquisitive, and fascinating infants, toddlers, & young children entrusted to us. Our goal is to give children the opportunity to learn & grow as they become healthy, independent, & self-sufficient individuals.
By forming positive, enjoyable early experiences with books, children discover a love of reading. Even before a child can read, he or she may “read” a book to you, reciting the story as they’ve memorized it or scrolling their finger along the page.
Even in our infant classrooms, our teachers use a curriculum designed to help little brains grow. The early years are the best opportunity for a child’s brain to develop the connections they need to be healthy and capable as they grow older.
As educators, it is our belief that appropriate nutritional components are necessary to support brain power and strong, healthy development. We work with parents to accommodate special dietary needs and work to ensure that each meal and all snacks are nutritious and delicious.
As the cold & flu season moves in, our parents are grateful for our TLC room. If a child develops a 101º fever or above or if they exhibit other symptoms, they are brought to the TLC room. We provide one-on-one supervision until the parents can come and pick them up.
Infants in our LITTLE DREAMERS™ classroom (6 weeks to walking) get lots of individual attention as part of our copyrighted curriculum, Framework for their Future™. Baby Circle Time brings infants together each day for singing, stories, fingerplays, and poetry.
Blocks are a fun form of “manipulative play.” Block play encourages children to explore, take apart and put back together. Blocks also offer opportunities for children to practice important maths skills, covering measurement, numbers, symmetry and balance.
Everything about our classrooms is focused on the students. Each classroom has large open areas, tables for working together on art and other projects, activity centers and reading areas.
October 9th is National Fire Prevention Day. Check the batteries in your smoke detectors and review your family escape plan to ensure your family is as prepared as possible in the event of a fire at home.
The cafeterias at Legacy Academy are designed for our family-style dining. Teachers sit with students who pass the food to their friends and serve their own plates. Eating together encourages children to try new foods and helps them learn table manners.
