Panama Canal Deputy Administrator Ilya Espino de Marotta held a series of engagements in Washington, D.C., meeting with policy leaders, academics, business representatives and media to discuss the Canal's role in global trade, sustainability and supply chain resilience.

She took part in dialogues at the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), the Stimson Center and the University Club of Washington, reaffirming the Canal's commitment to reliability, transparency and innovation, while highlighting Vision 2035 and the importance of water storage to guarantee both Canal operations and potable water supply.
